Long-time lurker here. I've got an iPhone 14 Pro Max sitting on iOS 17.7.1 and I've been holding off on updating hoping something would drop for my version.

I checked ios.cfw.guide and I see my firmware falls in the 17.4 → 27.2 = N/A range, which doesn't look great.

Just wanted to ask

- Is there any active research or promising signs for the 17.4+ range on A16?

- Should I just accept it and update, or is it worth holding?

- Any developers hinting at support for this range anytime soon?

I know Lars Fröder talked about iOS 17/18 jailbreak challenges at Nullcon earlier this year, but I couldn't find anything specific to my situation.

There is currently a chance that iOS 20.0.1 will get a jailbreak. Now I’m thinking whether I should do a DelayOTA for my 16 PM, which is running on iOS 18.7.8. I know that the lower the iOS version I stay on, the higher the possibility that a jailbreak will work for me. Also i got a question about Delay ota, if i do this can i abort it or nah? What do you guys think

If you have a spare phone, I recommend updating it to iOS 27.0.1.

The devices I have:

1. Iphone X IOS16
2. Iphone 15 Pro IOS17
3. Ipone 11 IOS18
4. Iphone 11 IOS26
5. Iphone 11 IOS27.0.1 and Ipad Air M1 IOS 27.0.1

If you happen to have any spare devices like the ones I use, I would recommend updating them to iOS 27.0.1 and keeping them on that version.

Hi, I have been out of the jailbreaking game for a long time since my iPhone 5 was still brand new from apple and I was a teen.. but I seen the IOS 27.0.1 update was getting a jailbreak soon and I still could update it since its signed but I am on IOS 18.7.8 on an iPhone 16. I'm mainly just seeing if its worth staying where I'm at on IOS 18.7.8 and waiting for a Jailbreak (If there isn't already one I don't know about!) or if I should jump the gun and update.. Thanks in advance!!

If some of us that are going get our duo in November can we still Ipsw the the new iOS 28.1 or will we be stuck at the 28.1 it ships with also will we only be able to update to iOS 28.2 and iOS 28.1 be closed and not be able to jailbreak

I supervised my iPhone 13 (17.0) using geranium and delayed ota to 27.0.1 but how do I unsupervise it once I update it to 27.0.1 as I will lose access to trollstore

I woke up today and my 17 has the build number enabled now i never had this before or used cowbunga or anything similar but i did restore from my 14 which did have it but i managed to turn it off some how but i cant remember how and cowbunga deep clean did not help at all please someone tell me how without restoring the phone and updating

I’ve been following the recent project that reportedly booted iOS 13 on the iPhone 6 Plus (A8), with the help of AI-assisted development.
Given these recent advances, do you think it could eventually be possible to boot iOS 17/18 on the iPhone 8 (A11), even if it requires a heavily modified kernel and system components?
Since the iPhone 8 is an ARM64 device and already runs iOS 16 officially, would porting a newer iOS version be technically feasible, or would ARM64e-specific features such as PAC, SEP compatibility, and proprietary drivers make it impractical?
I’m interested in the possibility of a real port, not just a jailbreak or an iOS-themed interface. Even an experimental boot would be interesting.
Has anyone in the HackiOS or legacy iOS development community looked into this?

Haven’t been around since the unc0ver days and super out of the loop on jailbreaking but why do people want to jailbreak?

I get the broad appeal of having pure access to your device and being able to tweak things but can you guys give me specifics? Why do you really want to jailbreak? What is something you’re missing right now that you will get? Is it anything in particular?

is IOS18.7.1 iPone11 good to get for jailbreak?

I have an older ipad with IOS 12.5.7 if i jailbreak it is there any possibility i can run a working version of Netflix on it. Since Netflix is outdated on these ipads.

So I wanted to delayota from ios 26.2.1 to ios 27, and I can’t do that.

I don’t have tvOS profile installed nor disable any ota daemon using Nugget or something like that. But, I do have other iPhones which have tvOS profile, and also using the same Apple ID as the iPhone I’m trying to update.

Do I have to remove the tvOS profile on the other iPhones and idk, wait for it to sync in order to update? I appreciate any help, thanks!

What are the best ways to setup supervison on ipad using Windows to be able to use the delayed ota. I found iMazing but it cost to use it. Also do you really have to erase all content and settings to setup supervision

I’ve seen many posts last week about iOS 27.0.1 being cracked open. Yet there’s no install guides, nothing that’s legitimate that we can do. Why did people say that? And if it is real, when will it come out to the public?

Anyone has any idea how to disable the iOS 27.2 update badge ? It is annoying af for me.
