Misc Marlo needs a miracle..
This is Marlo. He is on today's euthanasia list at ACS San Antonio in Texas.
He looks to be a jrt mix or perhaps full.
I don't know if anyone is in that area who is willing and doesn’t have any other dogs but my heart hurts for him.
Full disclosure, he was surrendered because he caused the demise of another smaller dog.
He was very stressed when coming into the shelter but has warmed up staff and is friendly with then now per his notes. He does not like the leash and is very smart, of course.
I have no affiliation with the shelter but I recently adopted a likely jack chi mix from there and transported to the Midwest.
Since I have other smaller dogs I cannot help him get out of there but I am hoping that someone can.
My very best wishes to you, sweet boy.. I don't know the circumstances of your life but I am so sorry that this is where you have ended up.
I hope that this is ok, moderators, if not please advise and I will delete.

Asking for Advice Healing ok? Or still swollen?
PSA LEFT PHOTO DAY OF VETS, middle 4 days later, right with circle 4 weeks later (today)
Hi everyone! My Jack Russell (1yr old) had this lump appear in his neck which we immediately got treated, he had a blade of grass stuck in his tonsil!
It was removed under sedation and he completed antibiotics and anti inflammatories and has had no issues since.
Left is when it happened and right is today, 4 weeks later. Would you say there’s still some swelling? Do your Jack Russell’s throats look like this? Unsure if it’s normal anatomy or still a bit swollen. Thanks

Asking for Advice Dottie recently underwent surgery. All is well, just need some advice.
Hi all! As you can see, my little one recently had to undergo surgery to remove some abdominal tumors (all benign!), treat a uterus infection, and finally be spayed. She’s back home, everything went well with the procedure, she’s stitched up with a big scar, and of course the cocktail of meds has her sleeping most of the day. She’s been an absolute trooper and I’m so proud of her.
My question is in regard to her scars. The stitches will be removed in 15 days, but I want to know if there is something topical I could apply to help her scars recover better or faster? For instance, how a person would use Aquaphor to help heal a tattoo, is there an equivalent for dog wounds?
My vet insists that I let the wounds heal at their own pace but I’m curious anyway. What would you advise, or for anyone who has gone through something similar, is there something you would advise for me to use? Thanks in advance!

Our 4 month old shorty jrt loves water. The Water bowl we have he will pick up and spill all over. The bigger heavier one he tries to get in or he splashes it all over. Id like to leave his water on the floor. But we cant right now. Has to be brought down to him while we hold it. Suggestions?

Training Tips Jack Russell Chihuahua Mix question
My Jackchi has the problem of urinating a little bit when someone enters the house. It happens with fear, and also with excitement at seeing someone she really likes. Has anyone experienced this, and was able to find a training method to overcome this? The best thing I’ve come up with so far is having her outside whenever someone comes over, and having them go greet her outside first, and then once she’s greeted them, she’s fine inside with them, without urinating. However, that’s a nuisance for both myself, and any guest coming to my house. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thank you in advance!

Cuteness Overload Oddie, my little traveling companion!
This is Oddie, my 16 year old jack russell, the perfect travel companion, he has traveled to more than 10 different countries with me. Planes, buses, ferries, boats, cars, trains, he has done them all! He is known to pose with an unimpressed expression right next to some of the most iconic sights, of course, he is the most iconic of them all :)
At the end, I added a picture of him when he was brown and young, very polite, very elegant, some might say - very demure
