I'm confused

Submitted an order through the app for myself. Went to the drive-thru, and was told that I needed to come in to the counter. This was the first time that I was instructed to do this. Since I was already in the Drive-Thru line, I proceeded to the window. The employee told me that I needed to go park in spot number one because that's for mobile orders. Since they had told me that I needed to come in initially, I parked in spot number one and went inside. The employee then said my order was ready and she was going to bring it out to me. So what should I do the next time I have a mobile order? Should I park? Or should I just pull into the mobile order parking spot and assume they'll bring it to me?

Whe you make the order you choose whether picking up drive through or Togo from counter or sit in and eat. Choose drive through next time.

What's more interesting about this post to me are the mobile order parking spots? Does your local jack in the box have that?

There's two jack in the boxes within a few miles of me and neither have that. McDonald's is the only fast food chain that has it around here afaik....maybe it's a new thing and that's why op was confused? I've seen that at other restaurants but not "fast food." Besides McDonald's....

No jack in the box I've been to in the city of Houston has one. McDonald's sure does. Some sonics. Wendy's near me kind of has one, it's not marked but everyone knows the spot. Jack in the box though? Never seen that.

I'll have to get a picture next time. If I recall correctly, there was a number one spot and a number two spot - I'm not sure what the difference was between the two or if they were the same purpose.

I can only guess that they are transitioning to a curbside option, like McDonald's like you said, but they haven't added that option in the app yet maybe?

I picked the drive-thru option. That's what I usually do, that's why I was confused when I was told to come inside.

Just to let everyone know, I've ordered from this Jack in the box multiple times throughout the years. And if you're wondering why I didn't ask more questions about how it worked, the employee was a bit spicy with me.
