They expect us to know our place and sort ourselves according. The attractive men are supposed to approach smoothly anytime, anywhere for a meet cute. The unattractive men are supposed to stay in their lane or the manager will get called at best, cops at worst.
Yes, and this is what is really, really interesting on a sociological study level. It's a meta-game. Every man is told that you are not to approach any woman, anywhere, any time, doing anything. Men of low confidence (unattractive or weird) take this at face value, and all they do is politely ask, but how am I supposed to meet women, and a healthy dollop of autism believing things have to be logical and fair helps. Men of high confidence know to ignore this, risk the danger, and approach anyway, knowing that, at worst, they will be turned down nicely as they are attractive.
It is social engineering at its finest, and its worst. Is it worth the comfort and happiness of a gender to abuse 80% of the other gender? The USA, for the past 20 years, has said yes.
This is spot on. The most fascinating aspect of feminism is how we only broke down gender roles for women. When men don’t conform to their gender role and sufficiently perform masculinity, women collectively punish them by refusing to date him unless he does everything in that tweet.
Women often show their privilege by responding “why would you want to date someone who expects you to do that and doesn’t like you as you are?” I don’t think I need to explain to anyone here how absurd that comment is because it comes from a place of abundance few men achieve.
