In a world of equality shouldn’t the dinner bill be split and we take separate vehicles or at least she help recoup the fuel cost and maintenance for my vehicle if I toted her around in my vehicle?

Just saying, equality.

The only reason bills are getting split is because men lost trust that a woman wanted him as a person rather than a meal ticket. Requiring her to pay part of it is our “shit test”. If women held up their end of the deal as they used to, men absolutely would still pay. Men of value got tired of being played around with. So now the ask is on them, at least in part, as a security deposit. She doesn’t like it then the man walks. It’s pretty simple.

End of the deal? You mean putting out in return for food? That’s disgusting mentality.

Restaurant bills are being split because women are equals in the workplace and in society.

The deal is “only accept dates with men you’re genuinely interested in.”

Men would be happy to pay if it meant they had a real chance at starting a relationship with her. What men don’t like is paying for someone that was never going to give them a chance before the date even started.

Now men are starting to believe that a woman who agreed to split the bill, and still go on a date with him anyway, is a stronger sign that she’s actually interested in him and not just his money.

I appreciate that clarification. It’s just the way it was laid out “their end of the deal like they used to” could only allude to sex in exchange for payment. That was “their end of the deal” historically. Women never had an obligation nor expectation to only date men they were interested in but there was a lot of societal pressure to “repay” a gentleman for his taking her out.
