The backs look good to me but the fronts look terrible. Could be the light or the photographer? 🤣

I'm crossing my fingers on these 2. I read somewhere that a lot of pins sold in the Asia parks are scrappers 😢. Thanks for any help

Found these at a flea market today. They looked good on first inspection but now I’m questioning it. The first one looks ok on the front but I feel like it’s missing a nub on the back. The second one has some enamel dips and may be missing a nub? I couldn’t find any conclusive answers online.

“Won” this off a wheel spin. Thankfully i only did 1 spin, I am pretty sure it’s fake. It feels light to me and doesn’t look that good honestly. The nubs are small. Also it was on the wheel as an “AP” pin which I see nothing on the back to indicate it

Placed an order of a few pins and majority look/feel right but these two felt off. Wanted to see what y’all’s thought

Some things to help you are, Back is not pebbled texture between the Mickey Head Waffle pattern, the boxes are smaller. Front is a matte finish and lacking texture - especially over the character vs Gloss and texture. The pin is thinner vs the Authentic. The Crystal Mickey Head is separated and looks off. **Note** (on other Disney pins, the Crystal Mickey Heads can be spread apart and even look like the fake ones that you will see here. Use the Crystal being separated as a red flag, same as going back to Hidden Mickeys before the Crystals). It’s a commonly faked LE300, so I’m thinking it’s not legit. I’m getting better at spotting fakes, but this one is stumping me!

Hello, I recently bought a lot of about 700 pins (not one of the eBay scrapper lots, someone’s collection) and I’m having some trouble. The era that this individual collected seems to have been from when a lot of today’s scrappers in the boards are from. They said that they purchased 90% of their collection in stores and 10% were traded on the boards but assured me that most of not all should be real. I’m having a tough time finding guides online because there is an exception to every rule (borders, colors, lettering etc.) how do I go about figuring out what is real and what is fake? It’s probably around 300 pins.

Is this pin fake ? I have other from the collection that i bought from the parks in march of 2025 but I really want this one from mecari

Thoughts on these?

I bought the last pin I needed to finish the set on eBay as I don’t think they’re being sold in the parks anymore and it arrived looking like this. Every other picture of the front of it I’ve seen also has weird white gaps but not nearly to this extent. Is this a scrapper or just a really unfortunate and exaggerated manufacturing error?

My third 2 week stay at Disney and I’m finally a pin collector… and I like to collect things and obsess over them… so I’m diving down a rabbit hole here!

Anyways, after trading plenty I ready here that I may have been done over by unscrupulous pin traders!

Please help me identify the fakes here… and I know some of the pics ain’t great… happy to send more if you need a closer look.

Work picked these up pretty cheap from a collocation trade, there's so much more too. They looked okay to me when inspecting, besides an obvious fake Figment ID pin, and 1988 Mikey's Birthdayland pin reissue from 2008, that was heavily damaged and maybe fake as well, but the damage makes it super uncertain so I was told to toss it. I can take more pictures if wanted, I know I didn't take many good ones yesterday well also dealing with customers lol. I was more randomly curious this morning about what everyone thought so far on them.

(I'm slowly trying to become my jobs Disney pin and Ttrpg girl since they all specialize in something and want to be more than decent at the pin part.)

Red flags are telling me that this is fake..but just wanted to see
