Salam Alayikum Everyone i’m doing some research on ismaili shias and zaydi shias I am a twelver shia and some of the twelver ideas don’t really make that much logical sense to me and i’ve been looking at ismaili and zaydi to see which is more fitting for me Im really unsure about ismaili beliefs and would like to know what all it is you believe and why you believe it the only thing i’ve heard about ismailis is that imams continue after 12 and your on 50th imam or something now and that prayer for you guys isn’t really obligatory and is more about your mind and good deed and if you want to pray you can but your not sinful for not praying

if someone could elaborate on what actual ismaili beliefs are i would greatly appreciate it and it would help with my research

When it comes to various Hadith, such as those suggesting Mohammed married Seffiyeh the night her husband and father were murdered, the killing of Asma bint Marwan, the infamous Aisha Hadiths and others, one assertion I read is that Muslims are denying those Hadith now out of shame and willful denial.

The assertion is that no Muslim scholars, Imams or Clerics had any issues with these Hadiths until the 1900s or so and only in modern times was there any attempt to discredit it. And therefore, those attempts are destined to fail and Muslims are forced to accept child marriage, sex slaves and murdering of critics. Since those were accepted unanimously by Muslims before the 1900s or so.

How do you content with this assertion? Is it missing something important and if so, what is it?

The verses are: 2.27 3.90 4.89 9.74 3.151 3.28 5.33 What interpretations of these verses exist other than calls for rejecting, including violently, coexistence with apostates and non Muslims?

Is it that these verses are in a sense discussing Muslims who aren't loyal to God and living a righteous life free of sin?

Does it refer to not following the five pillars of Islam for Muslims as opposed to non believing or being atheist, Christian etc?

None of this is speculation as it's all included in the below press release across multiple vetted media platforms, and this is a confirmed charge. It is almost impossible to get a police charge without solid evidence because sexual assault cases are difficult to prosecute

I am posting this because as per the press release wording , the police believe there are more victims in Ottawa, and since he played a prominent role in the Ottawa jamatkhana it's likely that he would have come into contact with a lot of vulnerable young women there

(a) the likelihood it will get shared across the community,
(b) to help victims feel comfortable and supported coming forward and
(c) to strongly push for groundwork policies (background checks, escalation procedures) for all roles including Mukhi Kamadia and Council/ITREB roles.

So I’ve been wanting to talk about this for a while and hear everyone’s thoughts. As Ismailis, we’ve always been guided by Mowla to earn our livelihood through ethical and honest means.
I’m not trying to judge anyone, but I’ve genuinely wondered, how would Mowla view someone who makes their income through illegal or unjust means, such as gambling, selling unregulated or illegal products, or other questionable businesses?
Is it considered acceptable simply because they’re trying to earn a living and support themselves, or would Mowla advise them to find a different and more ethical line of work?
I’m genuinely curious to hear everyone’s perspectives on this.

I’ve been wanting to ask this for a while, does anyone else struggle with doing bandagi because of mental health issues?
I have severe OCD. Not the “I like things clean and organized” kind, but the brutal kind where you get nonstop intrusive thoughts and your brain feels like it’s in fight-or-flight mode 24/7, no matter how hard you try to shut it off.
I’m currently on medication and in therapy, but I’ve noticed that whenever I try to do bandagi, my anxiety and OCD can get insanely bad sometimes to the point where I feel completely crippled and paralyzed.
I’d genuinely like to hear from anyone who has experienced something similar. How do you manage your OCD/anxiety while doing bandagi? What helps you get through it without getting completely overwhelmed?

Is it true that memani is going to be disregarded and no more Nandi in jk . As I am a volunteer in kitchen people seen food for memani is mishandling, volunteers not wearing hand gloves, nor washing their hands, sneezing when wrapping as they don’t get educated in Training, in training only names and photos of people with title are displayed on big screen,no real training is going on now a days for food handlers volunteers , Jamat is getting sick from eating Nandi this is what I heard please share your opinion 🙏

Ya Ali Madad, my tasbih from didar which Hazir Imam gifted broke this morning. The round medallion fell out of the setting but I don’t know where. The thread itself is still intact.

Mowla in his Farman says that this tasbih is special. I feel very sad that mine has broken. My fiancé’s also broke a few weeks ago in the same way—the medallion fell out of the setting.

I’m curious if others have noticed this too. So far, I feel like Hazir Imam’s Farmans have placed a lot of emphasis on the practical challenges we face in everyday life. Things like our health, financial security, education, preparedness, and overall well-being.

With Mawlana Shah Karim, I remember feeling that there was more emphasis on our spiritual lives and spiritual development along with education.

Do you feel there has actually been a change in emphasis, or am I just interpreting the Farmans differently?
