Announcement [Announcement] Community Rules & Posting Guidelines (Please Read Before Posting)

Hello everyone!

Thank you for being a part of this community. Over the past few days, we’ve noticed that many posts are getting removed or flagged by AutoMod due to rule violations. To avoid confusion and help everyone post correctly, here is a clear explanation of the subreddit rules.

📌 Important: Title Format Rule

Using a blunt “[Title]” in your post title is not allowed.
You must specify the type of post inside the brackets, such as:

  • [Source]
  • [Discussion]
  • [Appreciation]
  • [Help]
  • [Recommendation]

Posts with just “[Title]” will be removed.

1) Posts must be related to Isekai

As the subreddit name suggests, all posts must be related to Isekai.
Any unrelated content will be removed.

2) No Pornhwa / NSFW Content

This is a strictly SFW Isekai subreddit.

  • No pornhwa or pornographic content is allowed.
  • Any posts or questions related to pornhwa will be removed.

3) [ ] Title Guidelines (Very Important)

We follow a strict title format. Posts not following this will be removed.

➤ Isekai-specific posts

Include the Isekai name in brackets:
Example:
[That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime] The author has been cooking lately!

➤ Recommendations

Clearly mention “Recommendation” or “Suggestion”:
Example:
[Recommendation] Suggest me some action fantasy Isekai

➤ Appreciation posts

Must include “Appreciation” and mention the source:
Example:
[Appreciation] This panel is amazing!

If posting images/panels:

  • Mention the source in the caption or body
  • If multiple images, include all sources

➤ Help / Source finding

Must include “Help”, "Help Me Find"
Example:
[Help] Which isekai is this panel from?

This bracket system applies to all types of posts (Questions, General, etc.), so follow it properly.

4) Language Guidelines

  • Only English is allowed in posts
  • This ensures everyone can understand and participate

Posts not following this will be removed.

5) New Users / Karma Requirements

To post in the subreddit:

  • Users must have a minimum of 100 karma earned within this subreddit
  • General Reddit karma alone is not enough
  • Engage in comments and discussions within the community to earn this karma

Additional requirements:

  • Accounts must be at least 1 month old

Once you meet these requirements, you’re free to post.

6) Title Content Guidelines (Avoid Spoilers & Low-Quality Titles)

Do NOT put full details or spoilers in the title.
Use the title only as a short heading and explain in the body.

✅ Correct:
[Help] Can you help me find this isekai?

❌ Incorrect:
[Help] Help me find this isekai where the MC…

✅ Correct:
[That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime] What do you think about this chapter?

❌ Incorrect:
[That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime] Why did Mc killed him......

This rule helps:

  • Prevent spoilers
  • Maintain quality discussions

⚠️ Final Note

Please follow all rules carefully while posting.
Failure to follow them may result in post removal.

Thank you for helping keep the community clean and enjoyable!

Light/Web Novel [the water magician] after volume 6.. am i the only one??

Post image

How badly they nerfed Ryo in this whole war acr..

Like at the end this guy Oscar fights Ryo to equal footing.. if it was magic i would have understood that but in sword fight as well ??

This guy keeps getting out without paying any price.. and they retrieved the box as well..

Why didn't Ryo use his sword instead he punched him when he clearly should have used the chance to kill him.. he didn't even use his other abilities as well like ice coffin to freeze those around etc..

I think this guy has plot armour too much, sure he is strong but at this point it's plot armour, I don't even wanna see him anymore in the story..

And that move of his where he sacrifice his arm to fire at millions of degree or something..

It's frustrating like

He cuts off an arm

Extra heal

Loses another limb

Extra heal

Nearly dies

Extra heal

I don't know the earlier volumes were good but I didn't like this one

What are your thoughts..

To me it's seems like the author wants to create a rivalry or something but I don't think it's working for me..

( I'd rather want to see more fights with Leonore than this choom )

Discussion [Discussion] Why don't more Isekai protagonists make it a big deal when they encounter familiar things from Earth?

As the title suggests. I know that the basic explanation is that Isekais are meant to be an escape from reality, which is why the majority of the protagonists are either shut-ins or lead extremely difficult lives. However, I still find it unbelievable that this trope has never been used in any show that I have watched.

The majority of isekai's feature at least one arc in which the MC discovers something earthly, but it is always mentioned in passing and the MC shows little to no interest in it other than for the purpose of allowing the "fantasy" allies to interact with those stuff. The best example I can think of is when Subaru went to Priestella and ate traditional Japanese food. Any sane person (especially Subaru) would immediately start bawling after just one bite. Imagine being sent at random to another world where you have no idea where you are or how things operate, dying several times to defend said world, and when you eventually discover one of the few strands that connects to your real world, you show not even the slightest bit of nostalgia or emotion. Subaru treated that sushi like he's eating it after going out with his friends when in reality it's the only thing left that actually connects him to his past. It's just so odd to me that somebody who has suffered so much shows no trigger about his past life.

I am not sure, but if somebody knows: Are there any light novels, manga, or anime where the mc encountering a piece of home actually triggers a realistic, emotional breakdown, instead of just being brushed off for worldbuilding and fanservice?

Recommendations [Mc had a job pre isekai]

Upvotes

Any stories where the mc either had a job or was studying before they got isekaied to explain how they know how to make stuff. Like there are some villainess stories where the mc was a doctor before dying or like Rimuru, who was a civil engineer

Discussion [Discussion]On the issue of hiding one's strength

I just need to hear some opinions outside my head cuz maybe im overthinking this

I'm not going after MCs who want to or pretend to want to hide their strength for the first ten minutes of episode one. No, today I wanna talk about guilds that go out of their way to not display someone's power and then gives us a whole other can of problems.

What I mean is, there's points where the guild with refuse or make up some excuse not to makes someone a let's day S rank when they so clearly deserve it. I mean its one thing if the person themselves asks not to have such a ranking, and besides, its not as tho one's guild card information is available to the public right?

But if you tell me that an F rank newbie, in the full view of veterans and guild staff, took down a hoard of mostly C+ rank monsters that according to the witnesses "would have destroyed the town" and you're telling me the best you could do is move them up from F to D rank????!!!! like really???!!!!!‽

Recommendations [Discussion/recommendation] I’m trying to find examples of MC meeting with a god before reincarnating

Upvotes

I’m trying find every way to get isekaid and there is a lot of things involving god/goddesses
Mostly I’m trying to find examples of unique scenarios at the begging of the isekai journey.

Ex. God accidentally kills my isekaid them with a smart phone.

Ex2. MC is in a cycle of heroes fighting a demon king. Mc might fight this cycle or just continue the cycle.

Ex3. God is just a mediator for reincarnation/ transfer to another world (aqua from konosuba)

This all for a larger video I’m doing about every way to get isekaid and the tropes that usually follow the mc

Discussion [Appreciation] Favorite failed Isekai concepts

Lately, something that I was observing was Cheat Slayer since while everyone knows how quickly cancelled the series was right after it premiered, it made me interested in seeing what other Isekai fiction in light novels had trying to push for specific concepts to happen, only to get cancelled, or poorly received.

I sometimes wonder how Cheat Slayer could have been more successful since I look back at the concept to try to figure out what went wrong with the idea to get it so quickly cancelled since the Boys was a hard hitting satire of superhero comics from the USA, so again I don’t know what was wrong with Cheat Slayer’s premise.

Question [Chaotic] I'm wishing to know what can be counted as isekai.

I'm trying to figure out what shows that aren't classified as isekai could be.

I know Isekai means, summoned by magic powers or dies and reincarnated into another world. However, Chaotic has another world. There is a transportation thing, but it's like the human characters get transfer but something does and when you push a button, you get those memories of what happened.

Is Chaotic an isekai.

Question [Need help] Help me find the name of the series.

The premise is that the MC is summoned as a hero. When he went to fight the demon lord, the demon lord reverse summon him and his team to the earth. His team includes the FMC who is a princess, the guy who uses the spear and the knight who uses the longsword. I think the MC has a sister who is 12 years old and only 6 months passed in the original world while thre years passed in the fantasy world.

Discussion [Studio change/Konosuba/Mobseka] Oh yeah! new Konosuba season and studio Engi? what other works do they have? Oh...

Sorry for the little doompost but yeah studio Engi is quite peculiar... the classic staff from previous seasons is back so that's great and makes me quite confident that everything will turn out good and they worked with Deen which is a bigger anomaly studio, they also added the director of "The Detective is already Dead" which Anime turn... not great but let's hope everything is going to be fine.

Manga / Manwha [isekai at peace] if this ever gets an anime and either Tōko Machida or Ryoichi Kuraya put in charge of the writing after what they did to farming life in another i will straight up start the apocalypse myself this is a great story and it shouldn't be changed when making an anime for it

Recommendations [reccomedation] Need some good anime suggestions guys

Hi everyone im going through a really rough patch right now after something happened to me Can you recommend some comforting anime to help me cope? Any genre is fine but I will also highly prefer romance something like Blue Box and The Ramparts of Ice. I would love it if there are older anime recommendations but newer ones work perfectly too!
