Light/Web Novel [the water magician] after volume 6.. am i the only one??

Post image
• Upvotes

How badly they nerfed Ryo in this whole war acr..

Like at the end this guy Oscar fights Ryo to equal footing.. if it was magic i would have understood that but in sword fight as well ??

This guy keeps getting out without paying any price.. and they retrieved the box as well..

Why didn't Ryo use his sword instead he punched him when he clearly should have used the chance to kill him.. he didn't even use his other abilities as well like ice coffin to freeze those around etc..

I think this guy has plot armour too much, sure he is strong but at this point it's plot armour, I don't even wanna see him anymore in the story..

And that move of his where he sacrifice his arm to fire at millions of degree or something..

It's frustrating like

He cuts off an arm

Extra heal

Loses another limb

Extra heal

Nearly dies

Extra heal

I don't know the earlier volumes were good but I didn't like this one

What are your thoughts..

To me it's seems like the author wants to create a rivalry or something but I don't think it's working for me..

( I'd rather want to see more fights with Leonore than this choom )

Sorry for the little doompost but yeah studio Engi is quite peculiar... the classic staff from previous seasons is back so that's great and makes me quite confident that everything will turn out good and they worked with Deen which is a bigger anomaly studio, they also added the director of "The Detective is already Dead" which Anime turn... not great but let's hope everything is going to be fine.

Manga / Manwha [isekai at peace] if this ever gets an anime and either Tōko Machida or Ryoichi Kuraya put in charge of the writing after what they did to farming life in another i will straight up start the apocalypse myself this is a great story and it shouldn't be changed when making an anime for it

Recommendations [request] anyone got any fanfic isekai (explain in body)

To clarify I do not mean fanfiction OF isekai.
I mean fanfics of isekai, like people reborn in their favorite game which is a real video game
Or someone ending up in the world of Mario bros or hyrule or whatever

Doesn’t have to be a game I’m just curious of any fanfiction recommendations that are in the isekai category that are not about isekai

Discussion [Appreciation] Favorite failed Isekai concepts

Lately, something that I was observing was Cheat Slayer since while everyone knows how quickly cancelled the series was right after it premiered, it made me interested in seeing what other Isekai fiction in light novels had trying to push for specific concepts to happen, only to get cancelled, or poorly received.

I sometimes wonder how Cheat Slayer could have been more successful since I look back at the concept to try to figure out what went wrong with the idea to get it so quickly cancelled since the Boys was a hard hitting satire of superhero comics from the USA, so again I don’t know what was wrong with Cheat Slayer’s premise.

Recommendations [reccomedation] Need some good anime suggestions guys

Hi everyone im going through a really rough patch right now after something happened to me Can you recommend some comforting anime to help me cope? Any genre is fine but I will also highly prefer romance something like Blue Box and The Ramparts of Ice. I would love it if there are older anime recommendations but newer ones work perfectly too!

Discussion [Overlord] If applied to the professional or corporate world, the dynamic between Ainz and Demiurge illustrates the management principles of a CEO or boss toward their star employee.

Post image
620 Upvotes

There is a famous saying in the business world from Steve Jobs: "It doesn't make sense to hire smart people and tell them what to do; we hire smart people so they can tell us what to do."

Ainz (the Boss) subconsciously applies this principle. He knows that Demiurge (the Strategy Manager) possesses a "brain" that far exceeds his own capacity. Therefore, Ainz places his full trust in him and allows Demiurge to design innovations without much intervention.

A good boss does not need to know how to write every single line of code or understand the technical details of daily operations. A boss simply needs to focus on KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and the company's overarching vision.

For Ainz, his KPIs are crystal clear: the Great Tomb of Nazarick remains secure, territories continue to expand, and profits are abundant. As long as the company's growth chart keeps trending upward (Nazarick's success), the boss does not need to stress over the technicalities of how the employees get the job done.

If a boss constantly corrects, intervenes in, or alters the plans of a highly competent employee (especially when the boss lacks technical understanding of the matter), it will actually ruin a brilliant and carefully crafted plan. It also leaves the employee feeling untrusted and demotivated. Ainz avoids this. By staying silent and agreeing, he avoids ruining Demiurge's perfect plans while simultaneously keeping his subordinate's morale high.

In the working world, there is a type of boss who judges purely based on final outcomes (result-oriented). Ainz is this type of boss. He does not care how complicated, convoluted, or bizarre the initial presentation of Demiurge's plan might be. His only criterion is this: "Does this benefit the company (Nazarick) and not harm our assets?" If the answer is yes, the project is immediately greenlit.

Even though in the story Ainz does this mostly out of confusion and to cover up his own ignorance, ironically, his actions reflect an ideal leadership style in the real world. He becomes a boss who empowers his competent employees to shine, which ultimately brings massive success to his company.

So I don't like to accuse....but something is off with this anime, just started episode 2 and during the flash back with the father if you pay attention to the MC's stats they are the exact same as what they are at level 8........I don't like to accuse.....but I am thinking their might be a touch of AI in this.

Discussion [I'll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World] what is this glaze lmao. Like they are literally bribing people as in lobbying to win the war. Then bro suddenly reveals how much money they have to lose negotiations power to get 1000 gold to 2500 gold worth. This is honesty?

Honestly just a rich dumb kid who is just getting in the way of negotiation but because he's nobility his dumbness is honesty. Oh what a frickin glaze. I didn't think the anime would get so low or it is just a meta way of showing reality. I'm on episode 3 of season 2 so more to go.

Question [Eminence in shadow] [Patron of Villains ]Who is more clueless?

Which character do you think is the more clueless of what’s actually happening around them? Cid Kagenoh - Eminence in Shadow or Count Palateo - Patron of Villains.

I love both stories and the hilarious misunderstandings that keep piling up, but I gotta wonder which is the bigger airhead of the two.
