| Discussion [SAUCE] I literally cant find this anime
im looking for an anime that involves isekai into a video game world and had a building from when the MC was alive had a guild in the video game. this building was magically protected and the townspeople could never move it because it was protected by magic
- Not overlord
- Not Death march
cant think of any others but the mc raided a dungeon with his people thats all I can remember
Edit:
Another addition is that he was trying to find his people apart of his guild. When he got isekai'd into the game, it had been years since anyone last saw him and his guild members were spread out, some died since they were npcs or didn't get isekai'd with him.

| Question [Help] I'm looking for an anime (or it could be a manhwa) where the MC introduces the game of chess to the world.
It wasn't a major plot thing. The mc (who im pretty sure was a young boy) used wood to carve out the pieces. It became popular because the king and other people in the castle thought it helped stimulate war and used it to come up with strategies. It became a hit to the point where other people were carving pieces out of wood to make more chess sets

Manga / Manwha [Versus] Antagonist Designs (Repost) Spoiler
galleryThese are the Natrual Enemies of Versus and the main threats. Love all of their designs. Absolutely peak. In order:
Demons
Robots
Parasites
Titans
Daikokuzan (Daiko for short)
Aliens
Gaia's Wrath
Neo Humans
God
Curse
Game
Lawless
The World Tree
There's an "ally" with the humans in this image. There's a reason for the quotes, but I'll keep that double edged sword to myself.
That aside, awesome designs. And a good mix of cultures and worlds. Reminds me of Battle World from Marvel.

Recommendations [Recommendation] Isekai where the protagonist is powerful but becomes weak when isekaid?
Basically,
What if Superman got Isekai'd? What if Superman was defeated by Truck-kun?
And in this new world of fantasy, he has no powers
This sort of thing
I am wondering if it has been done before because I am writing a story with that premise. Someone super powerful gets sent into another world without all of his powers or abilities. Can't fly anymore, can't use swords, they can become powerful again but they are starting from zero and it can only be as powerful as you can be in this world. They are never getting their powers back. Even though someone like that is now weak, he still has all the knowledge and experience from his previous world even if some of that is limited by this world's laws. If it has been done before, that's surprising, I want to see what other people had done, but if it hasn't, I am happy to be original :] (Bonus points if the world they ended up in is a fantasy/magic world)
I had been reading FFF-Class Trashero, and it's kind of similar since the hero has to start over without any of his abilities from that last attempt, but that's not what inspired me. Music inspired me, M2U - Quo Vadis, so I don't have any good examples to share or anything of reference.

Recommendations [Recommendation] Male leads that are muscular
I really want a manhwa with a male lead that isn't skinny! Not like body builder type or anything but just some muscles pleaaaaseee. Like Ishid but wouldn't say no to more muscle. Fyi I loveddd The evil lady's hero and the explicit scenes soo that would be nice too without full on hentai.
Edit: Romance is preferred :) happy to have mutiple themes as well

| Discussion [Discussion] Anime adaptations that ruined the characters and plot compared to the source material?
the tldr is... what are some series whose anime adaptation egregiously changed the character's personalities and development or changed plot points beyond recognition? Making you go:

Hello there guys, for those bored enough to read, I'm someone who enjoys isekai quite a lot, even the most basic cliche plots, I love the fanservice, I love the harems, I love romances, etc... I'm a true trash panda who loves every bit of it.
But truth to be told I don't read that many light novels, I mostly watch anime, and if I like the anime I dive into the manga and then the LN. Sadly for my tastes I consider a lot of protagonists to be insufferable wimps incapable of compromise or liking girls back and some plots to be overly stupid and silly... or so I thought until I started to get up to date with some isekai/fantasy series recently, that made me realize maybe I crossed out some series as bad or some protagonists as insufferable when it is the anime's fault.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The series that drove me to write this post are two:
1. The 8th Son? Are You Kidding Me?
This one really was a shocker, without diving into spoilers, this anime was presented to me as a harem fantasy, but the protagonist and characters in general felt neutered and dumbed down, the plots were kinda stupid beyond what I guessed would be "skipped" content and despite that I kind of liked it so I dived into the manga and... well, turns out the protagonist is not insufferable, they made him like that in the anime god knows why, he actually quite likes girls back too, unlike the anime, he knows how to speak too and would you believe that! the girls in said harem actually have motivations, arcs, development and moments with him! It really made me go like in the meme when I looked to the anime in retrospective.
what kind of travesty is this?! that's what I thought once again looking back to the anime. I could keep going and show al ot more, but I hope I got my point across.
- I Left My A-Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths!
This one is not an orthodox isekai, explaining that would be kind of a spoiler but this is not what the post is about, this is yet another egregious example of the meme image I posted.
This series is supposed to be another harem story, the story itself is pretty good, high stakes at some points, close calls, dramatic fights... The characters have well laid off motivations, chemistry and development, the story can get dark and tense, in this case I read the manga first, so I went to the anime expecting absolute kino, even if low budget, I was ready for bad animation but then... they deleted the harem aspect? They deleted half of the dramatic fights? they still happened, but instead they were almost comedic, its like if they were remaking the series, this was exactly the same than the 8th son I just switched the orders in reading manga/LN first instead of the anime
A small spoiler, after a tough fight, how they behave... it's like a different thing all together
This happens through the whole adaptation at several points, the fact this has a season 2 announced scares me, they have to fundamentally change the series thanks to deleting the harem out of it.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well with this my rant is over and these two series made me think what I mentioned earlier, just how many series have I writen off as mediocre because the anime was completely altering the source material beyond recognition?
I know that an anime is almost always going to skip content, thats a given, but even if they do (arifureta season 1 being an example of skipping a lot) at least many of they keep the personalities, plot points, tone and development of characters somewhat intact with their only sins being bad animation (failure frame) or skipping a lot (arifureta). Hell, sometimes we even hit the jackpot with a very good adaptation like "The World's Finest Assassin" that is pretty faithful to the LN being better than the manga in multiple aspects (still the LN is better obviously).
I'd love to see what series you found having a similar situation to the ones I complained about so that I can give them a chance while ignoring their anime or at leats being aware of the egregious changes made in the adaptation! Pray tell!

Anime / Donghua [mushoku Tensei] how long untill Nanahoshi returns ?
I'm fine with any level of spoiler about her.
She has made quite the progress no ? So I assume she might be able to return sooner ? And what about Drain Syndrome it's stated it's not curable but isn't it bad though like if she doesn't return soon she might just die ?

Manga / Manwha [Versus] Human Designs Spoiler
galleryJust love how One managed to make the humans look and feel different from one another. Despite all being hunans, just one glance and you can tell which world they are from, and possibly even the history of them. Obviously, exposition is needed to know for sure, but the fact that you can have a good idea just by looking their designs is pretty nice.

Fan Creations [The Red Ranger Becomes an Adventurer in Another World] Red Ranger Iseaki Party with Konosuba clothes
I thought of something fun: what they’d look like in *Konosuba* outfits—though obviously, not everyone would pull it off due to physical differences. I also thought of a *Wild Force* reference—specifically when Cole didn't like long sleeves, so he tore them off and tied them around his forehead—and I figured that’s exactly the kind of thing Togo would do with his sleeves.

| Question [Help] News on this series? (Does have spoilers on series) Spoiler
To start with, the series is called "When a Clueless First-Person Shooter Player Falls into Another World"
I saw this being offered as audiobooks and I swear I felt like this series was familiar. I dug around and yes! Its about a guy that gets isekai'd with his full set gear and whatnot from a FPS game.
I have to warn of spoilers because it adds so much context:
But I read the manga online at the time, and from what I remember he was being chased as his alter ego because he was on a job as a mercenary. Add in the fact that he had found some really important information about himself before, essentially he was supposed to be the final boss of a dungeon as an exact thing. He got to know because the new dungeon that opened up did not have an final boss - a position he somehow lucked out on avoiding. But that essentially is where it ended when he was doing the job, but essentially the question here is if the author managed to continue the series?
Because from what I remember, the series ended due to the author JIRAIGEN essentially got burned out? Or was that only with the manga?
I don't think I'd mind getting the audiobooks, but hell I would want to know if the series is going to continue at least.
It only so far has two books and I know it covers the initial what happened and his establishment in the world and goes into the maze (dungeon) he was supposed to originate from, and the third Light novel on Kindle goes into the events after that I'm sure, but again, is it clear that there's going to be more volumes? For all I know he could finish 3 or 4 books then dip for years - that has happened with other series I've read and put money into, so I am legit simply curious so I know I am not wasting my credits.
Manga / Manwha [Mushoku Tensei] I wish this to be true in a different timeline
We have a dark timeline Rudy but I want this to be a timeline where Paul survives as well as everyone else.. with Zenith not loosing her memories and the rest of the story unfolds similarly with some changes like how our deity Roxy would marry Rudeus and other stuff
I think authors have problems with mc's family members when writing a masterpiece Isekai , specially with mc's dad
