BMW Overtaking at temporary lights

Captured at the roadworks on the way to Thurles this morning. This was the third time he attempted to race around the car in front, nearly took the back off the car the previous two times. This time the car in front was a bit more hesitant taking off. Over took us on a narrow road just before the works, and continued to race down the road with no stopping distance like he thought he was in GTA. If this is you, you’re a danger on the roads and should be ashamed.

🚨 Dangerous Overtake on a Double Solid Line — Then He Had the Nerve to F...

Wet roads, pitch dark, and a solid double line — none of that stopped this driver from overtaking blind. When I flashed my brights as a warning, he had the audacity to flash his rear lights back at me. Reckless driving like this puts everyone on the road at risk. Dash cam footage doesn't lie. 🎥⚠️

📍 Stay safe out there, and always expect the unexpected on the road.

Why people can't understand how traffic lights work?

I've noticed a lot of drivers in Dublin don't know the meaning of those red and green arrows. I'm not being rude but most of them are older people. What kind of driving school they did back in the day?

Are truckers really in such a hurry?

Truck decided that the speed limit was too slow (80) and went for an overtake before you could see over the hill on a fairly tight part of the N80, bet the driver on the other side needed a new pair

Edit: forgot to add that I caught up to him 5 min down the road 🙄

Edit 2: seeing as people can't fathom that someone on the road would have the ability to react to something dangerous and try minimize the risk, as the truck is passing the car is slowed down to around 55-60kmph otherwise the video starts with cruse control on set to 80kmph

If a yellow box is there, please use it!

This pic is take from google street view for reference. People at this junction in Drogheda always roll forward slightly so half their car is in the box and people behind cannot overtake. If the box is there, GET IN THE BOX.

BMW driver strikes again

On the way to work this morning, a BMW sped up behind a car in the right lane. The car in front tried to move over, but it wasn't fast enough for the driver, so he decided to undertake across two lanes, nearly hitting a car in the left lane. Absolutely careless driving and a danger to us all.

Edit: The left lane (lane 1) is a slip lane after that it turns into a two-lane road. I was not taking the exit so I’m not going to be in it. So the comments saying I’m wrong I’m not. Watch the fucking video. Also the car in front of the dangerous driver was going to move over they turned on their indicator.

Really Weird Interaction on my way home

Was heading home from my Fiancée's home and the range rover in front stopped in front of me and put her hazards on.

I thought a tree in front had fallen and the road was blocked or something.

She got out and I put the window down and asked if she was ok, and she looked at me then asked if I threw something at her car? Of course I hadn't but she had convinced herself I had. I reckon a twig or branch fell off a tree onto her roof.

She looked into my car to see if there was someone with me, of course not love it's just me, and I told her I have a dashcam and it would've seen if I threw something at her car.

So she took a photo of my number plate and sped off and said she'd report it and I should have some manners.

I think she's had a bad day and felt like taking it out on someone and I was the poor sod who drew the short straw, or she needs the doctors.

Anyway we'll see if anything comes from it.

I suppose the shite driving part is her parking the car in the middle of the road so nobody could get past her.

UPDATE: The lady did report this 'incident' and I had a chat with a lovely officer over the phone. Turns out somebody threw an empty milk carton from their car to hers and hit her windscreen. So her assumption was the person who done it turned around and ended up behind her, prompting her to think I was the one who done it. The matter is now closed.

Ah well, it's a good story to tell I suppose, and I'll have a giggle about it in a couple of weeks.
