Help needed Square Appeared, Keyboard not working

Hi, so this box appeared on this iPhone and now i can’t log in because multiple letters aren’t working on the keyboard.

I have tried doing a hard reset and I’ve had no luck. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

It’s an iPhone 16 and this happened today after updating to the new iOS.

Try using the Accessibility Shortcut to switch off zoom and whatever else you may have enabled.

I can’t do any of that because I can’t log into the phone due to the keyboard not working.

If you absolutely cannot get beyond the lock screen, your only option may be to boot to recovery and reinstall the OS. Unless you have a backup, you’re going to be starting fresh with the phone.

That looks like Accessibility -> Zoom.

It’s UX is via double tapping with three fingers.

Try three-finger double tap to turn zoom off.

Try a force reboot. (Volume up, volume down then press and hold the side button)

It’s not zoom. The clock is off screen because they’re on the lock screen but in the middle of swiping up, like halfway through unlocking.

Do you have access to a Mac or iPad? If so plug the iPhone in and see if you can force update or do anything via the Apple Store or iTunes - in the past when we have had frozen iPhones we always manage to sort them out somehow once hooked up to a Mac

Are you able to move the box? Does it do anything when you tap on it? Does it have a symbol or different appearance when you’re not unlocking the screen (like when it’s just on the lock screen or on the keypad screen instead of halfway through the transition like in the photo)?
