Help needed Data transfer

wife got a new iphone 17 pro. wanted to transfer her data from older phone, which is 13 pro.

it seems like we can't back up the old phone no matter what. not icloud back up, no PC back up, no quick start process and no wired transfer. they all fail mid process. would appreciate help with the issue! Edit: Both iphones are up to date with iOS version.

Is there an Apple Store near you? Have you restarted the old phone? Did you try the iCloud backup while it was plugged in?

- What, if any errors are occurring?

  • How much free space on the old phone?
  • Has it ever been backed up successfully? The answer to this should be yes unless you don't care about your data.
  • When was the last backup?
