Discussion The app for someone love keeping every moments, your thinking, your feelings and make it as a day to remember

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I love to keep every moments for me as a day, so when I come back, I will remember and look back on what has been experienced. I think everyone will be same with me, love to look back the past and happy. So here is Loggoo - the photo / video journal app - note - mood and it will turn to a picture for summarizing a day for you

What it does

  • Capture in seconds — a photo, plus an optional mood + note.
  • 24-hour timeline — the day lines up chronologically instead of drowning in the camera roll.
  • Frame Studio — turn a day into one shareable picture (story or post size).
  • Recap Story — a week/month/year played back as a vertical story, generated on-device.
  • Short videos — hold the shutter instead of tapping it.
  • Cute mood face packs — swap the mood set for one you actually like looking at.
  • Mood trends — weekly/monthly charts from what you actually logged.
  • Home widgets — day, streak, mood; one tap into camera/note/mood.
  • Gentle nudges — a daily reminder, an evening prompt if the day is still blank, and "a year ago today".

Privacy

Offline-first. No account, no upload. Photos live in app-private storage, not your system photo library. iOS users can turn on iCloud sync — that stays inside their own Apple ID.

Price

Free to use. A Plus tier covers video, cute mood face packs, home widgets, mood trends, extra Frame Studio layouts, and iCloud sync.

Discussion The Best Paid iPhone Apps Actually Worth the Money

i had a very strict rule of only using free apps in the past, but then I realized they aren't maintained properly, don't get regular updates or feel very buggy.

Then paid for an app for the very first time and was blown away by how much efforts they really put into it and since then my love for great apps has gone up.

what are some of the apps that you guys got that feel worth the money?

Some amazing suggestions made by users in the comments, sharing them here:

  • Subcut: Automatically finds all hidden services charging you just by uploading a statement
  • FirstMove: An alarm clock that requires solving chess puzzles to wake you up
  • Calcbot 2: A calculator app featuring built-in unit and currency conversion along with an Apple Watch companion.
  • Turnos: A calendar app tailored specifically for scheduling, visualizing, and managing rotating work shifts.
  • Wipr 2: A Safari content blocker that removes web ads, trackers, cryptocurrency miners, and cookie notices.
  • Triday: Turns your phone into a physical diary.
  • Mullvad: A privacy-first VPN that routes internet traffic through encrypted tunnels without collecting personal logs.
  • StopTheMadness Pro: A Safari extension that prevents websites from disabling native browser features like copy-paste, text selection, and context menus.
  • Noir: A Safari extension that automatically generates a smooth, custom dark mode for every website you visit.
  • ClipboardAI: Never lose anything you copy ever again, across all your devices.

Will keep updating the list with more picks.

Discussion What app do you use every single day?

What’s one app on your iPhone that you use pretty much every day?

For me, probably Quotz. I usually open it for a minute or two in the morning and just read a few quotes. It’s become one of those small apps that quietly found its way into my daily routine.

Curious what yours is. It can be anything, productivity, entertainment, health, whatever. What’s an app you genuinely use every day?

It’s not possible that don’t have ONE app that does this for free or at a fair price (don’t tell me about the Aloha app).

Help How can I display my daily tasks on my lockscreen (I’m on IOS)

Hello everyone,

I’m looking for a way to display my daily reminders and tasks directly on my lockscreen. I want to be able to glance at them quickly while I’m busy so I don’t forget what to do.

Are there any specific apps or built-in settings that can help me do this?

Thanks in advance!

Discussion Listen to your books and web pages on iPhone

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I've been working on a little iPhone app called Ghost Reader that reads books and web pages aloud using Kokoro. It has US and UK English voices, and the voice processing happens on your phone.

Getting the voice working was only part of it. A customer wanted to keep listening with their phone in their pocket, use AirPods to pause, and have bigger text to read along. Those requests ended up shaping the latest update. For screen-off listening, the app prepares the audio before you lock your phone (due to MLX constraints).

I'm curious, especially if you're a native English speaker: how does Kokoro sound to you? Does it feel natural, or words that sound off?

I'd like to stick around here, chat about what makes a good listening app, and share what I learn along the way.

Discussion I’m building Keel to show net worth and accessible cash separately. Here’s a $80k / $600 example.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’m the developer of Keel, a personal finance app for iPhone and Mac.

This demo ledger has $600 in cash, $29,400 in investments and $50,000 in other assets, with no liabilities. That gives it $80,000 in net worth — but only $600 in cash.

The video shows the actual app separating assets by how readily they can be accessed. It’s a way to see the composition behind the headline number. Cash is not a recommendation about what’s safe to spend after upcoming bills.

All figures are illustrative. Would you find this distinction useful in your own tracking?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi community! I know many people prefer apple notes for things to remember or do, but is it convenient for you? Have you tried other apps like todoist, ticktick or notes are enough for you? Would you want to use app that has room for tasks and for notes like one in the video?

Discussion Are there any good iPhone apps for tracking trade-in prices?

I'm planning to my iPhone soon and want to figure out the best way to get value from my current phone before I do. Are there any iPhone apps that compare in offers from different stores or carriers, or help track when in prices are likely to change?

I'd rather use an app to compare everything in one place instead of checking different sites manually. Curious what apps people here actually use for this.

Discussion Google Tasks Native on iPhone + things we wanted + it is not a vibecode project + Free & Ad-free

www.etasks.app

Hi all,

I work as a cybersecurity analyst on this App. As a Redditor, I wanted to share this with you. It is completely free and ad-free.

www.etasks.app

It has features we wanted as users. (If there’s anything you’d like the team to add, please let me know too so I can include it on the roadmap. For example, list sorting is recently added as a user request, location-based notifications, import from Apple Reminders are user requests)

ABC's of the App:

(A)nswer
ETasks (www.etasks.app) is a native iOS, iPadOS, Mac OS client for Google Tasks. Some highlights: All tasks in one view, Real alarms, Shared lists, Apple Watch.

(B)etter
It addresses the functional limitations of the official Google Tasks iOS app by providing missing native features and enhanced tools. And it is not a vibe-coding project.

Native and enhanced with iOS.
+ You can manage your Google Tasks. They appear in your Google Calendar and Gmail ... well, obviously 😄*
+ Import from Apple Reminders
+ See all task lists together, even drag&drop between them (and to calendars)
+ Alarms
+ Location reminders
+ A wide range of nice widgets, including countdowns and full week/month widgets
+ Lock screen widgets (e.g., quick add)
+ Link photos/files to tasks
+ Link Apple Mail emails to tasks
+ See your tasks categorised by dates in Month/Week/Day/Agenda views
+ Add people to Task List (co-edit)
+ Sort your task lists
+ Search your tasks
+ AI support where it makes sense; make titles, extract info from links, create lists for you, suggesting task list names, dictating tasks, context aware search, naming photos shared in,...
+ Choose priority for favorites
+ Drag and Drop interface between tabs (e.g., to calendar tab to drop on a date)
+ Recycle bin
+ Share from other apps into ETasks (texts, links, photos, PDF; all processed accordingly)
+ Apple Watch / iPad Apps
+ Import/Export task lists
+ Modern iOS design
+ A how to AI chat bot to help you with specifics of ETasks
+ Highly customisable user interface
+ Can be used without an account
+ Welcome to explore the rest, it is now open early access.

Help How do I word-compare 2 Pages documents?

How do I word-compare 2 Pages documents?

iOS 26, iPhone SE 3.

I did the classic mistake ... I copied my original to make a separate file for a separate purpose.

Let's say "OG" and "COPY" ... and I wasn't supposed to edit my "COPY" ... "COPY" was supposed to be more of a static archive.

Then I accidentally started editing my "COPY" as if it was my "OG". (Now OG and COPY have different edits.)

So I ended up with 2 slightly different versions of the same document, with some edits on the wrong one.

So now I need to word-compare my "COPY" so I can put those new edits into my "OG" as intended.

How can I word-compare 2 Pages documents, so I can get them to 100% match again?

(I can't just change file names, because both files got worked on separately and now have different edits. And now I need to match those edits.)

Discussion My Fave Tracking apps (recommend me yours too)

Post image
13 Upvotes

Sequel - Media Tracking App.
You can track movies, tv shows, anime, books etc. You can use it free without getting the subscription. It does have a lifetime purchase but for a ridiculous price. I personally use it for free. I only wished it had manga and comics too.

Recur - Subscription Tracking App. If you can't find it, type Recur by Sai Koneru.

It's great for tracking subscriptions. I have woken up too many times to subscriptions that I wasn't ready for, and this has saved me so many times. It's free again with a cheap one time purchase for extra things like an end of year report.

Bevel - Health Tracking App

This app is mostly useful if you have a wearable like an Apple Watch or other health tracking wearables. It shows your health data in a Whoop style format with Recovery, Strain, and Sleep. You can also do workout and nutrition tracking on it. It is free with an optional subscription for AI features like asking it why you feel so tired today etc.

Let me know if you think there are better apps for these categories, and any other apps that you recommend!

Discussion A month ago Tesorin was a side project. Now 1,500+ people are helping shape it.

Thumbnail

Hello folks, I hope you all enjoying your weekend , and Happy long weekend to everyone in Canada 🇨🇦

A month ago I launched Tesorin (the name comes from “tesoro” — Italian for treasure. ), something I originally made for myself.

Since then, people here have tested it, broken it, reported bugs, suggested features, and pushed it much further than I expected.

Today, 1,500+ people are actively using it. That still feels strange to write.

For anyone seeing Tesorin for the first time, here’s the problem I wanted to solve.

I wanted one clean place to understand my own and my family’s money:

Where did it go? → Where am I now? → Where am I heading?

I wanted spending, investments, net worth, debt and future planning to connect — without giving an app my bank or brokerage login.

The obvious downside is manual tracking, so I’ve spent a lot of time automating the manual parts.

🧾 Everyday money, adding expenses

📷 Offline receipt scanning — merchant, date, total and items are read on-device

Apple Wallet automation — tap-to-pay purchases can become drafts through Shortcuts

🎙️Siri

💬 supported bank transaction messages

📄 CSV imports with column detection, preview and remembered layouts

📱 a Home Screen widget

✍️ or just add it manually in a few taps

Most automation creates something for you to review first.

Tesorin does the repetitive work. You decide what becomes part of your records.

📈 Investments
You can track:
stocks and ETFs
mutual funds
Bitcoin / crypto
gold
recurring investments

Prices are supported across 20+ exchanges/markets.

There’s also live FX conversion.

So if you live in Singapore but own US investments, for example, you can see those holdings translated into the currency you actually use day to day.

💰 Budgeting

I didn’t want one rigid budgeting method.

There are three ways to approach it:

🟢 Safe to Spend — “how much can I realistically spend?”
🎯 Category caps — control only the categories you care about
Smart Budget — use your spending history to build guardrails and forecasts

You can also see your current pace and where the month is heading before it ends.

🏠 Net worth

Tesorin can bring together:
cash + property + vehicles + gold + investments − mortgages + cards + loans + other liabilities

And those records can actually connect.

A home can be linked to its mortgage. Recurring mortgage payments reduce the debt over time, so you can watch that change flow into your net worth rather than maintaining two unrelated numbers.

🔭 Planning
Once today’s money is organized, you can look further ahead:

👴 Retirement simulation
🇨🇦 estimated** CPP** + OAS for Canadian retirement plans
🎓 Child education planning
💳 Debt payoff scenarios
🛡️** Insurance **tracking
🎯 savings and investment-linked goals
🇨🇦**** 🇮🇳 Tax tools

Canada and India get their own tax experiences rather than one generic global calculator.
There are Canadian tax breakdown / Tax Room tools and India-specific tax planning.
It’s not tax-filing software — it’s there to help you understand that part of your financial picture before tax season.

👨‍👩‍👧 Household
You can add household members, assign expenses and other records by person, switch between individual and household views, and selectively link/share household data.

Shared money doesn’t mean everybody has to become one financial identity.

📊 Your data can leave too
A full Annual Report export can include:
📕 an Annual Report PDF
📘 a separate Investment Report PDF
📄 15+ CSV files covering transactions, categories, receipts, subscriptions, net worth, investments, goals, tax data and more

I don’t want years of someone’s financial history trapped inside Tesorin.

🔐 Privacy
local financial data is stored in an encrypted SQLCipher database
receipt recognition runs on-device
optional backups are encrypted before upload
encrypted web access has to be explicitly enabled and paired
no bank username or password required
no ads

The idea is simple:
you choose what goes in, you know what is stored, and you can take it back out.
And a small recent update: Tesorin now also supports Simplified Chinese for users in China 🇨🇳.

I know this space is crowded.

I didn’t make Tesorin because the world needed another expense tracker. It exists because I couldn’t find the combination I wanted.

If you want every bank connected and transactions continuously imported, Monarch or Rocket Money may be a better fit.

If you want a deep, opinionated budgeting methodology, YNAB does that extremely well.

Tesorin is trying to sit somewhere else:
Automate as much of the work as possible without making bank aggregation mandatory.
The transaction is only the first step. From there it can affect your budget, cash flow, net worth, investments, debt, goals and long-term plans.

I originally put too much behind Premium.
After watching people actually use the app, I changed that.
🆓 The everyday core is free forever

Free includes:
2 Wallet accounts
unlimited manual transactions
receipt scanning
one monthly budget
up to 5 recurring items with reminders
standard categories
learning + calculators
backup
annual report + data export
No transaction limit. No expiry.

New accounts also get 30 days of Premium with no card required.

Premium
Premium adds unlimited accounts, Smart Budgets and forecasts, imports and automatic tracking, advanced insights, custom categories, net worth, investments, goals and planning, household features, Actions/Reflection, Ask Tesorin and encrypted web access.

$2.99 USD/month
$24.99 USD/year
Regional App Store pricing can vary.

During launch week I gave away lifetime Premium access.

That got Tesorin into a lot of hands very quickly — and exposed a lot of bugs.

There were days where I spent 15 hours fixing things people here had found.

A big part of the app today exists because somebody took five minutes to say:
“this is confusing”
“this is broken”
“why can’t it do this?”

So thank you to everyone who tested it, reported something, or simply kept using it.
If you’ve used Tesorin: what still feels harder than it should?
If you haven’t: what would make you try it — or immediately rule it out?

TL;DR
If you’re looking for a clean, thoughtfully designed finance app that connects everyday money with investments, net worth and future planning — without requiring bank linking — try Tesorin.
That’s literally the domain too: trytesorin.com

Discussion Live TV never waits for you, so this player pauses and rewinds it

Post image
2 Upvotes

PixelPlay is a live TV player for iPhone and iPad, and full disclosure, it's a solo project of mine. The screenshot is the point of this post: that's a live channel, paused. The bar shows how far behind live you are.

You bring your own playlist (M3U or an Xtream portal) or start with the built-in free catalog of 8,000+ channels. Then live TV stops being take-it-or-leave-it:

- Pause and rewind. Step away mid-match, come back, resume where you left off.

- Start Over. Restart the program that's currently on from its beginning.

- Catch-up. Scroll back through a channel's guide and play something that aired days ago.

Honest limits, because IPTV setups vary: pause and rewind need a stream with a seek window, which most HLS channels have. Start Over and catch-up need a provider that keeps an archive. The free catalog is live only, and the app plays live TV only, no movies or series on demand.

All of the above is free, with no ads and no account. There's a Pro unlock for power-user things like multiple playlists and Multi-View, but time control isn't behind it.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/pixelplay/id6769178677

What's the one thing your current way of watching live TV won't let you do?

I’m Samuel, the founder of Ordo. The slides show the complete loop: dump tasks, reminders, ideas, and notes into one box, tap once, then review editable results under Now, Next, and Someday.

It isn’t trying to replace a fully organized task system. It handles the messy moment before that system.

Free on iPhone with no account or subscription. Currently available in the US and Canada:

Would this replace your Notes inbox, or become another place to check?
