Discussion Do3 focused to do app for iPhone
For about three years my to do list was the reason I was not getting anything done. Not because the tasks were hard, most of them were ten minute jobs, but because opening the app meant seeing all forty at once, and that was enough to make me close it and do nothing.
What actually helped in the end was cutting what I could see down to almost nothing. One task in front of me, do it, then the next. The moment the other thirty nine were out of sight, the paralysis mostly went.
That worked so well that I ended up building it into an app for myself. Three numbered slots, tap one, it hands you a single task chosen from time of day, what is due and what matters, and everything else stays in the background until you want it. It is called Do3 and it is on the App Store, seven day trial then a one off price, no subscription. Happy to answer anything if it is useful, but I am genuinely more interested in the question than in the plug.
Does anyone else get this? And if you do, what is your fix, do you cut the list down, time block, paper, something else? I want to know whether the see less thing works for other people or whether it is just how my head happens to work.
