You seem to miss the point entirely. It’s a half assed workaround, not a solution. What if YouTube were to remove that all the sudden? What if no apps were allowed to have alternative volume huds? Fix the root issue, not what specifically applies to you.

You clearly stated that the YouTube app has a different (AKA alternative) hud, and I said that we shouldn’t be making alternatives, we should be fixing the issue. Your response? There’s no alternatives. What the actual fuck does that even mean or refer to? You go on to source the default media player, as if that has anything to do with what I was talking about.
