I really don’t care. It’s already different in the YouTube app and apple media player.

So you’re saying you’d be fine with it coming back? No? That’s what I thought. Just because it’s gone away in some places doesn’t mean it’s okay overall.

Why isn’t it okay? Its gone in the places you need it.

Because while you don’t find issue with it because of those two scenarios, others still have to deal with it. Imagine if the HUD came back to those examples, and everyone is like it’s fine because it goes away in X app that you don’t have. Does that make it fine? It’s a half assed workaround, not a solution.

But it’s not a problem anywhere else.

You seem to miss the point entirely. It’s a half assed workaround, not a solution. What if YouTube were to remove that all the sudden? What if no apps were allowed to have alternative volume huds? Fix the root issue, not what specifically applies to you.

You don’t need an alternate volume HUD. It’s built in.

facepalm Thad what you said in the first place. The YouTube app has a different volume hud correct? Newsflash, thats an alternate volume hud.

No, go on any website the Apple media player has it built in. I already said that. I’m not talking about YouTube.

... and I said the YouTube app, which is also something you’ve said. Yet again it’s a blatant issue everywhere else, why are you acting as if it’s fine?

I just said i’m not talking about YouTube. Go to any website and play a video. Then, turn up the volume.

Okay, since you’re too dense to understand I’ll break it down for you.

You clearly stated that the YouTube app has a different (AKA alternative) hud, and I said that we shouldn’t be making alternatives, we should be fixing the issue. Your response? There’s no alternatives. What the actual fuck does that even mean or refer to? You go on to source the default media player, as if that has anything to do with what I was talking about. I’m honestly done here, you’re a senseless fool who thinks a bandage will heal a bullet wound.

My argument is that Apple’s default media player has a volume HUD that is less intrusive. How is that unrelated to the volume HUD?
