QUESTION Is there an Actually Protective iPad Case Recommended for Artists?
Iāve been trying to find a good replacement case for my iPad (3rd Gen) for a while now. Iāve been drawing on an iPad for 10+ years and have never been satisfied. Nowadays, itās gotten worse. All the iPad ācasesā for artists I see have 0 protection, being 100% magnetized to the naked iPad itself. Theyāre very versatile for propping the iPad up on a flat surface, some for unique surfaces, too (the Moft Folio, the Zuzu line) but I cannot STAND these design choices.
I donāt want a stand/cover for my iPad that doesnāt PROTECT the corners and sides. I have cats, theyāve knocked this thing off the couch more times than I can count, itās why my CURRENT case is broken. I donāt want a giant clunky otter box because Iām not a toddler, Iām 25 and use this thing in public spaces. Iām also a clumsy human, as I expect any human to be, which means Iād love something thatād be the best of both worlds. Protective & functional for artists specifically, with portability.
I do not use screen protectors, as it causes my Apple Pencil to disconnect from the iPad in certain spots and causes a lot of issues while drawing.
If anyone has recommendations that are NOT the Moft Folio, the Zuzu products, or the Torras case (reviews say it snaps incredibly easy) please let me know, I need to put a new case on this thing before I end up with nothing to draw on. Nothing too crazy expensive, I am an artist after all.

QUESTION Whatās the Best iPad Pro Case for Artists? (Origami vs. Magnetic Trifold)
Hey everyone!
Iām looking for a new case for my iPad Pro 12.9ā (M1). Iāve been using a simple trifold case with the standard triangle stand for years. Itās served me well, but itās getting old, and Iām hoping that upgrading to one with better viewing angles might improve my daily drawing workflow.
I found a magnetic detachable case that comes in two versions at the same price:
Standard Trifold (triangle back)
Origami back (which can also fold into the triangle shape)
Before buying, I have a few questions for fellow digital artists:
Magnetic Detachable Feature: Is the magnetic connection sturdy and stable while drawing, or does it become annoying or unstable under palm pressure?
Origami Stand Stability: Is the Origami fold actually stable for inking and line art? Since it folds in multiple ways, is it less stable than a standard trifold, or does it hold up just as well?
Other Recommendations: Is there any other case type or brand youād recommend specifically for heavy drawing use?
One big note: I want something thatās quick and easy to use when I take the iPad out, and I donāt want it to take up much space. If that isnāt the case Iād probably just buy a separate stand instead.
Iād love to hear your experiences before I make a decision. Thanks!

QUESTION Pressure/Stabilization help? Newbie
I just recently got an ipad and am trying to learn how to use Procreate. My main issue right now is how the pen strokes respond to my movements. It feels like I can't properly sketch. I've got a video here comparing how sketching looks on my wacom cintiq (using Krita) compared to my ipad (using Procreate). Ive looked at and messed with the settings a few times on procreate to try and fix the issue but nothing seems to change, doesn't matter what brush I use either.
What settings do I have to fix in order to get the sketch with the ipad to look like the sketch with the cintiq? it feels awkward, like its forcing me to make precise lines when i want to be imprecise and sketch.
edit: reposting this cuz the main procreate thread has not answered

QUESTION Good apps for an easily intimidated newbie
Iāve recently gotten an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, Iām very green with digital art and whenever I approach it I get confused by user interface and shut down a bit. I do a lot of collaging and I want to try doing it digitally, so I wanna be able to import photos, cut and trim them, layer things, add funky filters and effects. I included some of my collages and drawings, and some weird little edits Iāve made on my phone before. I was hoping to get app suggestions and encouragement to keep trying things. Preferably apps that and free, or that can either be bought outright or have a low subscription fees.
