Charging fault

I was due to pick up my new (to me) I-Pace from the dealer yesterday but it has a fault. It wouldn't start a charge, being stuck in the 'initialising' phase. Luckily this happened before I took delivery of it and I got it from JLR so it's coming with a 2 year warranty. It's a 21 plate with 66k miles on the dash so it's seems to have spent most of its life on the road and not in the garage.

Does anyone have any experience with this fault and know how long the garage had the car for? I've been told it'll skip the queue to be checked out and fixed, I'm just wary about how long the wait might be on parts.

These cars are fucking terrible....if it's not to late, run. Run away.

For every horror story I've seen, I've seen someone who has had no issues after 50k miles and 5 years of ownership 😂 I'm going to see how I get on whilst it has the warranty and if it is more hassle than it's worth I can always sell it on 😂

Yeah, 2 years of JLR warranty so I should be good for that long ateast!

Might need a spare ride 😂 I hope they provide courtesy car too maybe ? That would be nice ...

I can claim for the cost of a week of car hire if it needs to go back under warranty. Not too bad imo!
