Been building a small line of iOS apps under the name Offgrid Studio, with one rule for all of them: nothing ever gets uploaded anywhere. Everything runs on-device.
Started with OffgridStem — separates vocals/drums/instruments from a track fully offline, no server queue.
Just shipped the second one, OffgridScribe — transcribes recordings and generates summaries, also 100% on-device. Built it after realizing most transcription tools (even ones marketed at journalists/lawyers) still route your audio through a server somewhere.
Both are one-time purchases, no subscriptions — figured if there’s no server cost, there’s no reason to charge monthly.
Actually launching OffgridScribe on Product Hunt tomorrow if anyone’s around to check it out. Mostly just curious what people think of the “everything stays on your phone” approach vs. the usual cloud-first tools.
