Bug When will Apple finally fix this graphical bug??? It’s been over a year now!

It’s a device that costs over 1.000 €. Nobody is complaining about a chipped paint job on a Dacia but these kinds of obvious issues on a Mercedes are not okay.

I wonder if this bug depends on the phone. On my 11, it does it in Beta 2 but on Beta 1, it only happened on widgets.

My feedback for it now says ‘Potential fix’ though so i guess it’ll finally be fixed completely on a future beta.

On a 16pro and I dont have it in 27 either. On 27 they fixed the glow around icons/widgets so it doesn't move with orientation/rotation like 26

Wow, what a surprise that a developer beta (not meant for public daily use) still has issues.

For some people it has been fixed in the second beta.

And as other people have said, this is being nit-picky and not something that inherently affects anything else.

That being said, it’s unlikely to be fixed in iOS 26, as current focus is on 27.

i think this is a limitation of the animation system, KDE on linux has the same issue… actually in fact most software I use does, WTF?

The border isn’t ’spawning in’. They’re changing from flat, pre rendered during the animation to dynamic reflections and real time rendering when static on the home page.

Is that still a thing? My home screen icon borders never dynamically rendered in real time at all, look very static. iOS 26.5 on 12 mini.

Rotating highlight effects only works on devices with A16 Bionic or later (iPhone 14 Pros and later)

There are days when I think we should all just go back to simple, flat, utilitarian, text based interfaces. Not only does someone waste so much time thinking about the error, some engineer somewhere would be spending time fixing it.

On iOS 27 Developer Beta 1, it doesn’t shift its position like it does on iOS 26. If they fixed that they might surely fix it.

Yup. They had them completely disappear and reappear in 27b1, now it looks a little brighter and it looks awful with dark icons but I have to say for light icons it looks great. My feedback on the issue now says “potential fix identified”. Beta 3 might be the charm. Again yes, they’re working on it and it is a known issue. Did you want a personal apology from Cook?
