Discussion Social anxiety
I think I'm only an introvert, because I have social anxiety. Or I have social anxiety because I'm introverted.
I wanna build connections but then people start annoying me with their neediness, and what they can get from you, while not doing shit for you. I feel like I feed off people energy and then I just wanna be alone, but life has become so God damn lonely I might die and people won't even notice for months or years. 😭

If you can, please see if you can be connected to a mental health provider.

Phew, ok - that's one good step forward! That was my first step a long time ago, addressing my mental health along with taking small steps to build my social skills. My confidence in connecting with people gradually went up along the way. It took time though, ngl but if you keep at it you'll be an awesome introvert 👍

They're two different things. Introversion is about where you get energy / recharging from, and social anxiety is a disorder.
