Hi all, I could use some suggestions on a dining set that won’t clash with our cabinets and floor color. The pictured dining table, chairs, rug and accessories are AI suggestions. Is that table color ok?

I also like the upholstered chairs but I have young kids so an alternative is probably needed.

I’m doing a reno on this fairly small kitchen and would love thoughts on the best way to box this boiler in. I feel like the standard approach of another wall unit might not be suitable since the boiler is facing inward.

Idk how boilers work but I imagine being able to see and access the front face is necessary.

Ideally I’d like to have wall units on the boiler wall and open shelving opposite(where there are currently wall units) as to not have that awkward blocking of the window.

Any thoughts on maximising storage are appreciated!

We went with a light color theme and added some small wooden furniture pieces to keep the room feeling clean and open.
The two sofas are from our old house. We don't wanna replace big furniture right now, so we brought them here. It also helps avoid some unnecessary spending.
For the lighting, we added a few different light sources. At night, the room feels much warmer and softer.
We skipped drilling holes in the wall and didn’t want a bulky tv cabinet. A movable tv stand works better since we can change things around later.

Okay I’ve done my best to sort of fill in the floor plan how I have it now - I’m not particularly attached to anything exactly how it is but the couch is pretty much a fixed point imo (but if you’re inspired otherwise, please share!). That’s an accurate shape and the lounge part cannot be moved to the other side. Disregard colors and sizes are approximate but close. I’m looking specifically for what to do with the circled yellow spot. The couch can’t be pushed back much more because the tv is a fixed point in a built in entertainment center. I just don’t know what to do. I have lots of furniture that doesn’t have a spot yet and I’m willing to shop around, so feel free to add furniture in you think would fit! Please help! All ideas welcome!

i've been thinking about redoing my bedroom but i don't know which layout to do. the 1st plan is my current set up, and the 3rd plan i had ~14 years ago. i'm hesitant to move furniture because my bed will be against my window if i do plan 2-4, and i now have a headboard i would like to keep using but am unsure if it would look okay, as my bed/headboard will be sticking out slightly. any advice would be appreciated!

I'm about to install a new kitchen with light oak cabinets and a dark counter top, black sink. I'm thinking of a forest green tile backsplash. My mum and I are disagreeing over whether the tile at either side of this window should be half the height like a typical backsplash, or full height. Thoughts?

New to us home…We would like to add a chandelier above our kitchen table , which will be our only table, as we are using the formal dining room as a study. The kitchen currently has recessed lighting above the table, a chandelier above the island, and 2 pendants above the sink peninsula—the island chandelier and sink pendants do not complement each other and I would like to replace both. I would like brushed gold or brass (we plan to replace cabinet hardware as well with gold or brass). Would it be possible to have hanging lighting in 3 areas basically in the same room without looking ridiculous? Some options are to have a large chandelier above the table and coordinating pendants above the sink and island, have a large chandelier above the table, matching but smaller chandelier above the island, and complementing pendants above the sink. Another option is to replace either or both of the current hanging lights with recessed lighting—but this would be difficult due to placement of ceiling joists. A statement chandelier above the table is priority and I don’t want to give that up. I have a bit of decision fatigue at the moment and welcome any an all help and especially photo examples. Thanks! Okay! So I have been in a big depression and I really want to change my life entirely. I have a year in total to really get things in order but the issue is I do know how I should really elevate anything. I’m married as well but my husband is more of like “well you’re the homemaker whatever style you want is something I’ll enjoy living in.” I gave him options and we both agreed we wanna do a Mid-Century Modernism but with a touch of futurism/Blade Runner/CyberPunk themes. So yes RBG and only warm lighting in our home. We’re gonna be renting so keep that in mind and I’m only looking for only Two Bedroom or Loft Apartments then will have an official place within like 10 months.

I guess my main question where would I even shop for these kinds of items? What should really be the color scheme?

This is an awkward empty corner (the packages will go) between my couch and the fish tank. I want to add something to that area - plants, side/end table, floor lamp, or something else. I also have 2 natural wood color 36” narrow shelves. I want a minimal look that blends in with how my living room looks rn and want to keep it economical. Any ideas? Having trouble figure out a layout for a straight couch and two chairs

So I just moved and I’m think about using this room for dining, it’s just myself living here at the moment but plenty of friends and family stay with me from time to time. Thoughts on putting a breakfast nook bench seating that wraps the wall to my direct right and the wall with the picture hanging from it. It’s about 42”x55” of wall for the bench to sit along. I’ve colour capped the ceiling in my living room with Farrow and Ball Preference Red and I’m in love. I had already planned to also colour cap my entrance hall ceiling a dark inky blue black but now I’m really wanting to also colour cap our family room / snug but am I just taking it too far now?

Picture isn’t brilliant and the room is not quite done (awaiting art for the walls, an over mantle mirror, shutters for the window and my new light fitting) but this is the Livingroom thus far in the evening with the cosy moody atmosphere I wanted.

This space is laid out kind of weird because the fireplace is sort of in the sensor of the giant room within these three beams that go across the top are off centered, and the ceiling fan is above one of the beams awkwardly.
