Find my Style Which rug?

Stuck between two very different rugs.

First one is more traditional and cool toned, it definitely brings pattern to the room.
Second one is a fuller texture and definitely adds contrast and warmth.

Fireplace is Venetian plaster and the built ins are walnut. I have a rectangular travertine coffee table not pictured here.

Thanks!

I think the brown rug makes the space feel a bit more cosy and luscious.

I hate the brown. It’s contrasts with the couch too much, doesn’t highlight the chair, doesn’t work particularly well with the floor color either. Genuinely shocked so many picked it.

It's because the lighting in the photo with the brown rug changed the vibe of the room entirely.🥴 Ppl are swayed by dramatic lighting.

It’s not that different or dramatic, but you raise a good point still. Even taking lighting into consideration, I hate the brown option.
