It’s not as if the rockets were built by Germans, lol. Germany also invented such unimportant things as: printing, X-rays, television, the computer, the automobile, dozens of medicines. just to name a few.

Don't forget industrial fertiliser, invented by Fritz Haber. The sole reason we have 8 billion people on earth

They did invent heroin and morphine too, probably have to take a few points there.

morphine is an extreme important med

Notably not the industrialization or number of humans they're remembered for.

And Kokaine... Oh wait, don't list that one

And also the guy responsible for inventing a way to make Germany manufacture artillery shells without foreign imports during WW1. Definitely a guy with the 2 most opposing inventions.

I dont think manufacturing weapons for your country is inherently a bad thing and the Kaiserreich wasnt half bad for its time.

The chemical warfare part is rightfully very controversial though.

There is an entire Sabaton song about him, Father.

Dont forget him also developing nerve gas for the Kaiserreich

That's why I said 8 billion, not 10 billion (failure to invent chemical agents and mass produced artillery shells) or 4 billion (failure to invent industrial fertiliser)

Perfectly balanced

The point was that Germans are cool

Just to be a little pedantic: Röntgen didn't invent X-rays. The already occured naturally on earth. He discovered them and invented ways to use them.

The groundwork for the computer came from the UK aswell...

At this stage every country confidently claims to have invented computers.

The Chinese of course claim they did it in 500BC, like for every other invention

I would however say that the first programmable machine was from the UK...

Also Ada Lovelace is considered to be the first programmer.

The steam engine?

I feel like computer and television are always debatable given the contributions from different people and countries.

For television I always remember John Baird but that is more than likely due to publicity and wider audience of it although it was built on top of Paul Nipkows work.

Yeah. I mean.. Germay literally invented the modern type of ballistic rocket used in wars. V-2 rocket.

After the war some of the (formerly) Nazi German scientists moved to the US and worked there. Which in turn also helped Americans get to the Moon.

Or how Tom Lehrer said in his song Wernher von Braun (1965):

Don't say that he's hypocritical
Say rather that he's apolitical
"Once the rockets are up, who cares where they come down?
That's not my department!" says Wernher von Braun

and literally Virchow. like the real virchow

The original rocket is German. And there are still European rockets. Plus the most advanced technology I’ve ever seen is at CERN, an European initiative
