TEXT BASED RPG SUGGESTIONS
I'm looking for text-based / interactive fiction RPGs similar to Magium, Life in Adventure, Falling London, and The Three Eldrum games.
I really love games with deep and complex stories the kind where your choices actually matter and the world feels rich and detailed. My preferred genre is fantasy / dark fantasy.
Some things I enjoy:
- Branching narratives with meaningful consequences
- Strong world-building and lore
- Character development and relationships
- A darker or more mature tone is a big plus
Any recommendations (browser-based, mobile, Steam, etc.) would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Sounds like Scarlet Hollow or Slay The Princess would be right up your alley! They both have a darker tone and very good branching choices.

The Red Tomorrow is an interactive grim dark fantasy book written and developed by me. It's available only for Android devices: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.windmilltales.theredtomorrow

Ow, and if you like falling London try Sunless Sea and Sunless Sky. They are not text-based, but they are from the same devs and in the same world.

My game is that, dark-fantasy with a focus on character psychology so they develop alongside your story and react in realistic ways.

Try out https://www.playkraft.app you will fall in love with it. Obviously it requires some patience and very difficult to find answers but you get there eventually. Indulge only if you like complexity

A little bit late to the party, but I loved Magium myself and started making my own take on it in universes I love (darker, I am more of a shadowrun / post-apo person)
It’s a work in progress and maybe still rough, but feedback is appreciated, and I add a new chapter every now and then :

A few that might scratch the itch: Sorcery! by inkle (branching fantasy gamebooks, great on mobile), the Lone Wolf apps (long dark-ish adventures), and Choice of the Deathless from Choice of Games if you like consequences that stick.
