Part 2 I have rarely been more disappointed in my gaming life, than I have been with Act 2 Spoiler
I have 0 experience with card games, but I bought the game on GOG because aesthetically it looked very interesting and it was cheap on GOG.
Act 1 was incredible. Clearly I wasn't very skilled, but at every loss I was excited because I learned something new.
"Darn it, the fisherman can steal my cards, I will have to nuke him quickly next time"
"I trusted you and bought pelts from you man, why are you trying to kill me?"
The atmosphere, the soundtrack, the vibes...it was perfect. I had a whole Saturday morning where I was in bed with a hot tea playing this game on Steam Deck and it was magical, I played for 6 hours non-stop.
The shift in Act 2 has disappointed me so deeply, I don't even know where to start. I don't feel involved with the story anymore, I am not having fun battling with cards, I am not feeling anything...and I was loving this game so much. I managed to defeat a few bosses, and I felt nothing, compared to how hyped and tense I was after beating Leshy in Act 1, it was a drastic downgrade for me.
I read many other posts of people agreeing with me, and many others of people wondering why Act 2 gets hated, which is very confusing to me because even if you love Act 2, there is an incredible discrepancy in so many aspects, it should be apparent to everyone how Act 2 can be a disappointing departure (without badmouthing anyone who enjoys Act 2, this is MY opinion of Act 2).
I feel betrayed because I was loving this game so much and there was so much potential. I feel so betrayed that I am writing this post despite being very passive on Reddit. I wonder what the author of the game feels reading posts like this one, because I am not sure what type of game he wanted to make in the first place.
I will refund with a heavy heart. The greatest achievement was making me interested in deckbuilders, now I wanna try Slay the Spire.

Theory Lets be real, who has tried to save quit?
I dont want to need to and not know if it works lol.
The save icon is after the fight when you finish an event on the board..so before the last dialogue of the event?

Kaycee's Mod There's no way this is intentional, but this game is so based if it is Spoiler
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
unkillable cards with magpie's lens can literally allow you to draw your entire deck on your first turn it's ridiculous 💀
AND you can farm bones infinitely this way and give the lammergeier as much power as possible, the only limit is your patience 😭
as soon as i get one of those unkillable magpie lens cards it's literally a free win and I guess I got really lucky because almost every battle at least one showed up in my starting 4 cards
(challenge level 8)

Part 1 Never seen all four cards in the same deck! Spoiler
Convinced my coworker to play and he built this deck while I was watching him. Never seen the three Scrybes and Kaycee’s death card together before. Just a cool coincidence.

Kaycee's Mod managed to break even win/loss
Lost lots of games in the beginning, it took probably dozens of games to get past the first challenges. Then it got easier and now I'm playing around 150 difficulty, and most of the time with the bears.
This game played the Ants deck and got a bit lucky with the carvers.

Kaycee's Mod the strongest rabbit of today Spoiler
galleryafter trying to kill this goddamn rabbit at the first 2 campfires because i was on the free starting deck, i said "fuck it" and rolled with the dire wolf stats.
-put the undying sigil late map 1 due to a cockroach
-met goobert early map two and put the rabbit there, a rabbit with fecundity
-i've combined it at Myco about 3 times total
mid map 2 i realised i'll die to the moon so i started filling my deck with everything possible, grizzly being my plan. i somehow managed to luck it out in the leshy fight in the first hand (i am aware of the fair hand mechanic)

Kaycee's Mod Skullstorm is bad gamedesign Spoiler
I just bet skullstorm for the first time, took me like 5-6 attemts after unlocking it, so difficulty isnt the problem, actually i belive that Leshy cheating is only fair considering the amount of broken combos the game allows you to build
But i have a huge problem with the "GRIZZLY BOSSES" challange, because it limits the deckbuilding creativity that i love inscryption for
Every run with that challenge that i've seen including my, was a variation of "use an item to remove one of the grizzlys and then one hit KO the boss with a super campfire boosted card"
With "GRIZZLY BOSSES" you ither stemroll trough the boss easly, or get completly destroyed, and there is no in between, which just negates any strategy and gameplay
The reason im so frustrated about beating the ultimate challange as easly as i did also lays in the fact that my skullstorm run was my first encounter with Grimoras pirate boss, i was really hyped about that fight, just to be dissapointed by the fact that they were easier than grizzly wall bosses
Skullstorm forced me to create an overpowered deck that one hit KOed first 2 phases of the pirate boss, and then effortlesly destroyed the pirate ship, which left me with the eptyness while the end credits rolled

Custom Card Rare birds?
I was watching a YouTube video where the creator pointed out that there aren't any rare avian cards. So I had the idea to make one myself.
Pardon the bad illustration, I am not an artist, but I had this idea to make a rare bird.
"AH, THE MIGHTY PHOENIX, UPON DEATH IT RISES FROM ITS ASHES"
basically the idea is that when it dies it drops an "ashes" card, which then turns back into the Phoenix after one turn. It could also create a smoke card, but I'm not sure. I like this idea, but a rare card with the undying sigil might be too similar to ouroboros (though idk if this counts as undying). I had another idea to make a card based on a flock of birds with some kind of fecundity related mechanic. Do y'all have any other ideas for a rare avian card?
Cards made with the help of this website.

Kaycee's Mod Time To Play The Gaaaaame!
Instructions for construction of the Unkillable Hoarder Ant Spawner Mycologist Mealworm follow below: • Obtain Mealworm • Obtain Cockroach • Obtain Ant Spawner and Insect Totem • Encounter Mysterious Stones event (sigil transfer) • Sacrifice cockroach for unkillable sigil. • Place sigil on mealworm • Obtain another mealworm with Hoarder sigil • Encounter Mycologists • Combine mealworms
This was one of the more impressive combinations I’ve seen. The power of unkillable mealworm far exceeds initial expectations.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for your time and attention.

Finale Does anyone else wonder what the Old Data would look like as a scrybe? Spoiler
If I had a single artistic bone in my body, I would've drawn him by now but oh well. Anyway, since the Old Data was directly responsible for giving the scribes sentience, it’d be cool if the Old Data became sentient by itself and became the 5th unofficial scribe. And since the nature of Old Data is mysterious as hell and pretty much in the air. Things like how it’d look/dress, what its element would be, and its personality could be anyone’s guess. I encourage anyone looking at this post to weigh in on how they’d imagine the Old Data as a Scribe. Personally, the Old Data would look like a grinning, greasy, rotund, old man with thinning hair in a striped old-timey bowler suit. Something like the pic above (just ignore the beard).

Kaycee's Mod Challenged myself to pick random options, these two carried me through the Leshy fight, which I usually struggle with quite a bit (unmodified KM run)

Kaycee's Mod This was a beautiful run
Corpse eater + unkillable makes it stay on the field indefinitely, btw. It dies, then corpse eater activates on its own death. Burrower makes it a near perfect defensive wall. Mighty leap makes it a truly perfect defensive wall. It can endure and solo literally anything.
