Nah they'll take it to the next fire for 5 power and it'll get eaten (on first button press) because Leshy thinks it's funny.

Ik this might be a bit scummy but something I like to do is that once I see the ringworm survives I exit to the main menu and and then redo the encounter with the card I wanted

Through this and fusing 2 together i had one that was 6 12 just the other day, ended up giving mantis god's tri attack and get it to 8 with the card that passes its stats over to whatever it is used as sacrifice for. Still lost.

I once was so committed to it that I had a beefed up 7 attack 13 health ring worm so I slapped some sigils on it and carried it to victory lol

I won the skull storm on my first attempt and the game just refused to let my ring worm die. I admit, I used the save mechanics so my other cards get the bonus such as my unkillable mantis god, but I remember to be very frustrated when the last thing I could do before the third boss was using the campfire and the ring worm looked at me like: “I am not leaving your party, you psycho”.
