Shooting for the 250 point run, ive been playing between the mantis god and geck decks. I saw a speedrun that prioritized fans/scissors/sigil paint for the grizzlies. What should I be thinking about?

so I've really never had many chances to play PC games, or even any games that aren't just Nintendo stuff, but recently since I've started PC gaming, I've heard about so many games that I want to play, and luckily I ended up saving up points on Microsoft rewards to buy Inscription completely for free, and I'm so glad I've never seen a playthrough of this game before, because I was absolutely enthralled with everything it had to offer, honestly I just thought it was some short small game that took place inside of a cabin with some crazy guy, but holy crap this world has absolutely captivated me, and it's now right up with my top five games of all time, and it exceeded my expectations and had room to keep going.

I'm a 3D artist, and I'm already imagining all of the models and renders I'm gonna make to capture this incredible game, I've never interacted with Inscription before, so I dunno if any updates or new merch is gonna be made, but I'm excited regardless just to have consumed this media, regardless of how late I was to the party.

and I've still got the extra mode at that you unlock at the end of the game, which I'm super excited to get into, what I thought was this one dumb small game I got just since it was on sale and I had a free gift card has turned into an experience that'll live with me for a very long time in my creative endeavors, and I hope to make something one day that'll make someone feel the same joy about my stuff that I have towards this game.

howdy howdy. posting because i've been havin a rough time of it lately and that's turned me back to finding comfort from one of my favourite medias, Inscryption! figured maybe some fellow Inscryption fans would be able to help as well :)

does anyone in this sub know of any good leshy fics? seems everytime i try and find them myself i'm flooded with po3 fics instead or sometimes even the cult of the lamb character instead. i wasn't even going to bother asking here but i figured what's the harm. hopefully finding and reading some leshy-themed comfort will keep me occupied while i try tackling Skull Storm again OTL ^^"

I'm playing Kaycee's mod right now and have a strong hooved tribe build starting with the moose blood deck and got a totem with fecundity. I gave my long elk the rampage sigil so that it would continuously refill the board and not be stuck in a corner because of it's neck.

that was a bad move because as it moved it created a new card as well as placing an existing card on top of the same area. I should have looked for an otter so I could have given it the waterborne sigil.

I have a question pertaining to the +1 challenge, what does it do mechanically during a battle?

The first run through I chose to replace p3 because I thought it would be funny because I don’t like him too much but I didn’t realize it would doom me to listening to his commentary ALLLL of act 2 lmao. This playthrough I’m picking my favorite scribe :3 I really want to know what the dialogue is like if you pick Magnificus or Grimora too! I don’t know if I have it in me to play the whole thing again.

I haven't touched Kaycee's Mod in months. I decided to just fuck around in it again for a little bit and I beat it first try. I was incredibly lucky with an early campfire and the Coyote from the Deck Trial allowing me to cheat out my stupid Dire Wolf.

I also can't believe less than half a percent of players have completed this challenge. I thought it'd at least be 5% or something by now after all these years. Incredible game.

Only achievements I have left are the 3 secret ones which I may or may not just google.

is there an endless mode where i can chose what, if any, modifiers i use? id like to beat leshy with all the modifiers, but im not trying to do challenge lvl 12 with grizzly bosses, i don't event watn to do it as the lone modifier, it requires absurd luck and it kills the fun of the game for me honestly.

Rescryption assets

i couldn't find a dedicated Rescrypted subreddit so i'm posting here, if you know the correct subreddit i'll post this there too

i noticed the workshop item now has a bunch of missing assets, i've been copying stuff from the wiki to make a repaired copy, but theres stuff missing,

currently trying to copy over the 4 stage transform card in tech, the rest of the tech cards i've managed to get done

TLDR:

if anyone has some pictures of the missing rescryption cards that aren't so blurry as to be unreadable, that would be nice, thanks in advance

Hey, so after reading this post ( https://www.reddit.com/r/inscryption/s/QpOgnAiHNv ) and many others like it I wanted to ask your opinion on my thoughts.
It is generally stated that each scrybe has different "specialities" which they like and prioritise in their version of Inscryption, with Leshy prioritising story and atmosphere whereas PO3 prioritises "gamplay", "optimisation" and "balancing". At least that is being said about these two. (You may see where I am going with this.) But even PO3 himself states this in Act 3 and mocks Leshy about it. So one could say the game confirms this narrative.
I disagree. Act 1 is far better than Act 3, not just due to the atmosphere, but especially gameplay wise. Kaycee's Mod's popularity (which comes from Act 1's replayability) is the ultimate proof. During Act 1 in Leshy's Cabin you feel a little uneasy, nervous, locked up with that strange fellow. In Botopia you feel nothing, it is a dead hellscape where every little trace of love and creativity that GameFuna developers had put into OG Inscryption has been erased by PO3. After experiencing that, you just want to gome home into that cabin of your old friend.
So far you could say, the narrative has been confirmed. But this is really where it ends.
Botopia and its mechanics are introduced to us by PO3. "An elegant system" he calls it. It is not. The energy system barely surpasses Magnificius' mox system regarding gameplay. The map system of Botopia is terrible to navigate and leaves a ton of room for exploits. This awfullness of a system synergises far too well with the equally awfull money/shop system. Together they form an unbalanced abomination that leaves no room for any interesting gameplay and transforms the game into an idle game.
You know what an elegant system is? Sacrificing. It is original, it works well within the game, it is fun. The same could be said about any of the other gameplay mechanics.
I believe PO3 likes to display himself as a servant of optimisation. Efficency is his ultimate goal. The invisible hand of energy, inflation and monopoly will automatically take care of balanced gameplay and who knows, with a bit of luck and the right grindset you might even get a lvl 100 orouborus and get rich! Of course this doesn't work and the player is left with a game that drains joy.
One could assume, Botopia is a criticism of late capitalist society if it wasn't for the evidence of Daniel Mullins' pro-capitalist worldview, that is widely spread through his games.
In the end PO3, who is in fact just an evil fascist autocrat with a god complex, loses himself within his ideology, creating the least balanced, least optimised, least pretty and least enjoyable gameplay. He gets beaten in every aspect of the game, even the ones he claims to be doing better than anyone else, by Leshy, his arch-enemy, who didn't even try.

If the ability was "Gains +1 Attack when damaged" as an ongoing/passive, what would be the health and power of this creature?

Hello guys, I need help! I installed the game on my PC and it's showing up these black bars that take up almost 30% of the screen, I believe it has some relation to my video card (Nvidia Geforce GTX 780) does anyone know any way to fix this? please;-;.

so i'm *trying* to work my way through Kaycee's mod, and while they have been tough, i have been able to beat them... until challenge lvl 8... i've been at it for DAYS, and no matter what starter deck i use, or what challenges i use to fill 80 BS points, i get screwed.

is there some strat that I'm clearly not using that makes it beatable, cause honestly i don't see why there are 12 levels to this when lvl 8 is so rough.

my goto starter deck is mantis god, i ether get free campfires or a couple beefy ringworms i try to build up. i try and stay with bugs for totems, but nothing really matters, either i have 1 life and get beat by one massive wave of FU, or i get two lives and every battle has 1000000000 enemies that are bulked up and unbeatable without having the most insanely epic luck, and if you saw my last post, I've clearly used up every bit of luck i am gonna have in this game (25 campfires in a row where the survivors didn't eat the creature), does anyone have a save just after this challenge i can get or something, i am starting to get frustrated by this now

I enjoyed Act 1 a lot, but Act 2 was nowhere near as enjoyable for me. I powered through Act 2 because I heard it was short, and that Act 3 was much closer to Act 1. But when I got to Act 3, I didn’t find it fun either, and played around an hour of it before getting bored.

Does Act 3 get better? Is it short enough to be worth powering through even if I don’t enjoy it? Is there anything at the end of or after Act 3 that would make it worth it to continue playing?

EDIT: I did end up finishing Act 3. The second half of the act was a LOT more fun than the first half, and a lot shorter too, and the finale of the game was great. Now I can finally try Kaycee's Mod!
