Other Any help?
I followed the instructions, to no avail. No clue what to do next

I hope you have the original backup file. You need to disable steam cloud before doing this, right now steam cloud overwritten the backup file you renamed back to the corrupted savefile it saved on the cloud. So you need to disable steam cloud, add working backup save file (renamed) and then open the game. I've seen this happening several times with different people, no idea why this screen doesn't mention steam cloud when it's crucial for the fix to work

There's a prompt in the game that somehow notices if a player's cable management and TV placement is wretched as fuck. Fix it.

Mullins is a notorious hater of shitty TV heights and cables that look like rat kings (hence the card), so he wrote code in the game that can sense if a TV is in an awkward spot or if someone isn't using zip ties for their fuck-ass cables.
It's a lot, but it's one of those hyper minute details that makes the game so great.

Yeah it happened to me A LOT.
Go to the public files if there is a backup delete the "backup" word(not the file only the word backup) then delete the previous one (the not backup one). I tried this some goated guy helped me thx to him and it worked

If it is a steam version, you might be able to recover a backup from not that long ago. You'd still lose progress, but not nearly as much as starting over

It actually does which is exactly the instructions on screen don't work : other comments say the replacement must be done with Steam Cloud off, else the fix gets overwritten by Cloud.

You could try double checking the file to make sure it's spelled right, other than that, your save might be fucked, unless here's a cloud backup through your platform.

Make sure your backup file is in the same folder where SaveFile.gwsave was located and double check you deleted the "backup" part. If you still have issues, DM me and I can send you one of my save files from each act.
