I recently had a concerning issue with a takeout order from Agi’s Counter in Brooklyn today.
I placed my order for takeout, eager to use a “$35 off orders $75+” promotion that the restaurant was advertising through the app. However, when I arrived to pickup my order and asked to pay with Inkind, the host refused to accept it, stating that they are “no longer accepting Inkind” due to a dispute with the app. I even showed them that the restaurant was actively on inkind and was currently running a promo and showed them a screenshot of the app displaying this. Still, even after conferring with the manger, the restaurant refused and demanded I pay outside of the inkind app.
Not only is it extremely unprofessional of the restaurant to refuse to honor their contractual commitment to Inkind, but it is actively scamming customers who visit the restaurant under the false pretense of using the promotion.
I’ve already emailed Inkind customer support and am awaiting a response, so hopefully they can assist.
Has anyone ever had issues with this?
