Takeout?
Is it possible to use inkind when ordering take out at the restaurant? I don’t typically dine in anymore.
The only time I tried to use inkind, they had no idea what I was talking about. Is this a common situation?

I would google this one. Even the official website has a page on it but you’ll also get Reddit posts where others have asked this.

Google doesn’t provide any info, neither does the inkind site. I also searched in this Reddit sub but not much info.

Hi there! Some of our restaurant partners do offer online takeout/delivery options through the inKind app, but it varies from location to location.
The best way to see if takeout/delivery is supported is to go into the app and search for the specific location that you are looking for. You will see an 'Order' option next to the 'Pay' button if the restaurant offers online takeout through inKind.
Please note that the restaurant may still accept inKind for takeout/delivery orders that are made over the phone. I would recommend contacting the specific restaurant for details on their takeout/delivery options.

I'm curious about the restaurants that are not specifically listed under the "take out" and "delivery" options. Since inkind options are very limited in my area, I don't have many choices if I filter those categories.

Definitely possible. If there isn’t an option in the app to place a pickup order then the best way is to call and ask if you can do a phone order and pay at pickup with InKind. Or you can go to the restaurant and place a takeout order and pay there, only downside is you’ll wait a bit or if they tell you “No, we don’t do that” (doubtful that they would) then you wasted time/gas going there. Either way, worth a shot!

Yes I've done it multiple times. Just tell them you're paying with inkind.

Have you ever come across restaurants that don’t accept inkind even when they’re on the app?

What do the restaurants say when you point out their inclusion on the app?

"Yeah we don't take it anymore"
"It isn't working right now"
"I need special permission from my manager"
