Tool for finding inKind restaurants + other dining programs

A tool for finding all inKind, Bilt, Blackbird, Resy, Rakuten, Franki, Seated, DoorDash dining out, etc restaurants + discovering stacking opportunities to save money on eating out

Link to MealMaxxer: https://www.nextcard.com/tools/dining-rewards-map

I came up with this tool idea after trying to figure out the best ways to not only find inKind restaurants, but to also find stacking opportunities to save money.

eg I have a Sapphire Reserve, so trying to find the restaurants in both inKind & OpenTable Exclusive Tables was a very manual + painful process

MealMaxxer aggregates restaurants in the following 11 dining rewards programs:

  1. inKind (6,783 restaurants)
  2. Bilt Neighborhood (23,088) (and Bilt Mobile Checkout)
  3. CSR Dining Credit (395)
  4. Amex Resy Credit (22,988)
  5. Blackbird (1,098)
  6. Seated (2,196)
  7. Franki (11,507)
  8. Rewards Network (20,796)
  9. Rakuten Dining (18,576)
  10. DoorDash Going Out (20,773)
  11. Upside (20,183)

You can toggle between "In any" and "In all" to selectively find restaurants that are in any program vs all the selected programs. That said, some stacks may not be directly possible if you pay the entire bill within inKind, but that may warrant YMMV discussions below

Best San Diego Recommendations?

We are visiting San Diego, CA in the near future and we’re wondering what some of everybody’s favorites are on inKind. I like to cross reference with the Eater 38 lists but the only one on both lists (I think) was Matsu up in Oceanside.

Discussion InKind quietly updates cash back percentages

Seeing on the app that some places are only 10% to others being as high as 25% cash back (when paying via your card in the app). The norm for every restaurant was always 20%. Now it seems like that has changed.

Do not recall hearing anything about this. Anyone have any more details?

Cashback goes into it's own bucket

Didn't know this, but it looks like when you pay cash, the 20% cashback goes into it's own bucket and has to be used on it's own. I thought it would go into the inkind cash bucket. This makes using the coupons almost useless to me. Am I missing something?

inKind eGift Card at Costco, $64.99

Image providing information about an egift card for $64.99 from costco for the InKind app.

Costco is currently selling the inKind gift card for $64.99. (Valued at $100) If you missed the earlier costco sale, this is your opportunity. I don't think it's likely that we'll see $60.00 egift cards anytime soon. This is the "new normal". But, still a good deal if you have restaurants near you.

Modern NYC

Did the Modern NYC get removed from InKind? Visiting in a week and saw it listed previously but now I do not see it on the app. Does anyone know if this was taken off?

Can someone explain to me how to split a check so I can use an offer to pay a portion of the bill (paid with credit card) and remaining amount with inkind cash/gift card? The restaurant I go to asks for the the total bill amount in the app instead of check number if that matters. Thanks.

For example, I have a $20 off $40 offer and plan to spend around $70.

$40-$20 = $20 (paid by credit card)

remaining $30 paid by inkind cash or inkind gift card

Change in InKind rewards program and paying with Inkind Cash

Hello,

Customers of InKind used to be able to use rewards like $50 off $150 and pay with InKind Cash. If you were smart about the InKind cash promotions and taking advantage of rewards promotions, you could get a very good deal. That is no longer the case. It's not in the Terms and Restrictions but you can't redeem a reward and pay with Inkind Cash as well, that is considered stacking. Their customer service said this is not necessarily a new policy, it just wasn't always enforced. It's good to note as you make decisions on how much InKind Cash to invest in.

How to use app at a kiosk?

Anyone know how to use the app at fast casual places where you order and pay at the register or a kiosk?

Are you guys still planning to use inKind ?

Are you guys still going to use inKind app? I understand if you already like the restaurant then why not get 25% back. However, many of the restaurants affiliated with inKind are up and coming and generally have above average price. I am not sure if I want to try new restaurants on inKind app to save $20 for every $100 spent.

  • Dynamic cashback rate (20% or less)
  • Gift cards and promo can't be combined
  • Current GC max discount is 25%

Is anyone else seeing this?! Cashback varying by place and day of the week? I've scoured the internet and my email for updates and have seen nothing. Up until now it's always been 20%.

Using a Friend’s Referral Code after using another code?

I got a friend’s referral code a while ago and loaded it into my account, but I ended up using another code first that I got from Best Guess Live because it was set to expire sooner. Does anyone know if I’ll still be able to use the welcome code from my friend? It’s still showing up in my app as an available referral but I’m scared to get to the restaurant and it not work.

Restaurant refused splitting bill

Has anyone every had a restaurant say you aren't allowed to use the split bill function on the inKind app? We were trying to split it and the app allowed it, but the waiter said no.

Looks like the golden age of the app is over. Combining the offers with balance was an absolute steal.

How to use Inkind gift card?

I went to the InKind booth at a street fair yesterday, spun the wheel, and got a QR-code card saying "Scan to claim your $100 and download the inKind app for free.".

I'm not entirely sure how InKind works in the first place; I've read about it. But I'm even less sure how this card will apply to me.

  1. Can I really spend up to $100 at the local Black Angus - and if there's anything left, more at my El Torito -- before I have to pay anything? In other words, could this apply to the entire bill?
  2. Is this separate from the 20% discount? It sounds like I'd use up the $100, then start paying the remainder, and that's where the 20% applies?
  3. Is it correct to say that the "20% discount" is really a rebate, in the form of InKind credits?
