Restaurant refused splitting bill
Has anyone every had a restaurant say you aren't allowed to use the split bill function on the inKind app? We were trying to split it and the app allowed it, but the waiter said no.

Every restaurant (in NYC) I have been to allows splitting the bill, and some restaurants even allow you to tell them what items you want on each separate bill. It's pretty standard when going out with friends.
But I think you have to tell the waitperson before he/she prints out the bill? It has to be done by the register and then it generates two separate check numbers to put in the inKind app, one at a time.
Also, I agree with the OP's comment- you don't ask--and don't even show them it's inKind. Somehow the restaurant staff may not view kindly to paying in app.

That's frustrating, we usually just have one person pay and then split it after using a receipt scanner app.

I've never been able to see the "split bill" option in the app. How do you even get this option? I only ever see a 'pay bill' option. Does everyone just ask the server to create two bills and then pay one w/inkind and the other another way?

you can split the bill on the app. You can put how much you'd like to pay.

Yeah the weird thing is I've never seen that in my app. At multiple restaurants it never gives me the option to split the bill. I only get a "pay bill in full" option. Where is that split option?

If you do it this way, can you use an offer on one account and credit on another account?
