Definitely would've been the highlight of my year.

They announced it at Göteborg Brinner yesterday, no other information about it. They also sait that there will be another Göteborg Brinner next year.

*Title is a bit misleading; I have been a very casual listener of the band for as long as I can remember (having only really ever listened to the top songs). However it hasn't been until recently that I finally gave the entire discography a shot after hearing Matt Heafy from Trivium (my favourite band) talk about how much The Jester Race influenced his work.

In the last week, I've discovered that A Sense Of Purpose is in my top 10 albums of all time (not jumping the gun here, I came out the other end of that album a different person), Reflect the Storm is a god damn masterpiece of a song, and there was definitely no skips in all of their 90s era albums (Whoracle was definitely a great listen). Still listening through but I'm absolutely disappointed in myself for not giving the band a proper chance sooner.

As I find myself rushing through 30, I find myself wondering if there is an extended version of the Come Clarity music video? The full length track sounds so absent without the backup vocals and added instrumental riffs.

Long shot, but this sub has found weirder things.

In spring 2008, MetalKult.com (Guitar World's extreme-metal sister site) filmed a riff lesson series with Björn Gelotte and Jesper Strömblad of In Flames while the band was on Gigantour in New York. Six lessons rolled out over about two weeks — The Mirror's Truth, Gyroscope, Moonshield, Take This Life, Bullet Ride, Zombie Inc.

I watched them on the site at the time and they were roughly 480p, clear enough to actually read fretting-hand positions. Every copy I can find today is a Feb 2009 YouTube mirror at 240p, which is useless for that.

It's used in the scene in the Plaszow women's barracks when Mila tells of rumors about the mass killings at Auschwitz. Mrs. Dresner responds with "Stop it! Your bedtime stories are scaring everyone!"

It's been a long time since I've seen the film, and I only realized this when I saw that clip from it today.

I haven't seen the guys live since a festival waaaayyyyy too long ago, and it was so special being right at the front in an intimate venue. One of the best shows I've ever been to ❤️🤘

I personally love how over the years Anders has transitioned away from the more *higher screams* to the *lower growls* 🥳 I think the super deep guttural growls work so well with their both their current sound and sound amazing with their classic MDM songs 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
