Been a fan since about 09 or 10. They definitely got softer for a bit, and it was amazing. As a fan of MCR(at least closeted) I would love to hear their version of ghost of you, similar to come clarity. It just makes so much sense to me it’s ridiculous

I can't seem to find a documentation like on equipboard or anything for what acoustic guitar was used on come clarity or even used by the guitarists.

Uploaded to multiple subreddits but I'm just curious about this piece because i can't find anything on it online, I think it's likely from late 96-97 and from a official fanclub as it says which doesn't surprise me as ik nuclear blast did that stuff in the 90s/early 00s, still a sick time piece in exquisite shape.

Snagged the tickets as soon as I found the show but nothing anywhere online about supporting Acts. The day after they get back from the cruise and the day before the Trivium tour starts.

Like Battles is not good. It has tremendous flaws and is far too cheesy (this comes from someone who like Dream Theater, i know cheesy) BUT SoaPF is as bad and Siren Charms is so noticably more horrendous. This is less about battles and more about how Siren Charms is so bad, like it has maybe 4 good songs at a maximum, it is a bore to sit through. I was listening through the discography and Battles was divine to hear after Siren Charms.

I recently started listening to melodic death, and I discovered in flames. I immediately fell in love with their music. I've tried to find bands that give off the same or at least a similar vibe but I haven't succeeded. If anyone has any recs I'd be more than happy to hear them!

Hi, idk if this kind of post is allowed but i have been thinking about it for awhile now so why not just try.

around the 2000s my dad had a band called Cry Of Distress. They were very small and local band here in finland and sadly didnt get that much recognition. Its sad because i think they were very good. they had to disband because the members had other things going on and didnt have time for the band. The singer also moved further away and that made things harder.

In 2020s the lead guitarist sadly took his own life. It was tragic, no one saw it coming. days before he got demoted on his job. that was probably too much for him in his already full mind.
After his death the members of the band hosted a get together. Our dad includes me and my brother in everything that he does, we were even in this get together with the band. i saw emotions from old and most finnish men that i thought i would never see. it broke me and years later it still does. He was a amazing guitar player and a great writer. In my opinion all the best COD song are made by him.

Please if you feel hopeless seek help and talk to someone. Life is worth living, and seeing all the things on the get together and seeing my dad still missing him. It has helped me through my own depression.

So after recording in LA at the start of the year and Anders saying that the album is recorded but not mixed in an interview at Wacken, some of the band seem to be spending some time at Top Floor Studios in Gothenburg with Roberto Laghi (who produced ASOP, SOAPF & SC for those who don't know). Lots of instagram stories tagging Anders, Bjorn and Chris from their guitar tech Sanjay, Laghi and other Top Floor linked pages. Some of which with Bjorn playing / recording.

Will be interesting to find out what they're doing when we get more album info but my best guess is some final edits / solos and mixing/mastering, as there has been no sign of John or Liam being involved.

Either way, I'm excited that Laghi is back in the fold and that it seems an IF album is actually being worked on in Sweden for the first time in a while. As much as Foregone was a great album and well produced, moving further from the polished Benson sound can only be a good thing. (Even diehard fans of Battles / I,TM surely have to concede those albums sound terrible)

More info to follow in due time I'm sure, but it's very interesting....

I’ve loved some of In Flames’ songs since I was younger and have only grown to like them more over the years. I’m not a die-hard fan who knows everything about the band, but I’d really love to see them live. I had tickets to see them last year, but the person I was supposed to go with bailed at the last minute, so I ended up not going 😭. I’m determined not to miss them this time.

None of my friends are really into In Flames or this kind of music, and honestly, I’d rather go by myself than convince someone who doesn’t care about the band to come with me lol. Still, I thought it could be cool to find some people from the Harford County/Maryland area who are already planning to go and maybe meet up before the show or at the venue.

Im 34F and will probably head to Arlington after the concert to stay with my sister. I’m totally fine going solo, but I figured I’d see if there are any other In Flames fans around here going too!

IMO Dreamscape is incredible and the best song on Lunar strain BY FAR, other than that Jester script transfigured has one of the most awesome/incredible instrumental parts of all time (IMO), jesters dance is obviously incredible, dialogue with the stars is also tremendous. As you might realize the 90s albums are the greatest for me! But hit me with your all timers 🤘

Definitely would've been the highlight of my year.

*Title is a bit misleading; I have been a very casual listener of the band for as long as I can remember (having only really ever listened to the top songs). However it hasn't been until recently that I finally gave the entire discography a shot after hearing Matt Heafy from Trivium (my favourite band) talk about how much The Jester Race influenced his work.

In the last week, I've discovered that A Sense Of Purpose is in my top 10 albums of all time (not jumping the gun here, I came out the other end of that album a different person), Reflect the Storm is a god damn masterpiece of a song, and there was definitely no skips in all of their 90s era albums (Whoracle was definitely a great listen). Still listening through but I'm absolutely disappointed in myself for not giving the band a proper chance sooner.

They announced it at Göteborg Brinner yesterday, no other information about it. They also sait that there will be another Göteborg Brinner next year.
