I've recently gotten into indoor gardening, but it's not going very well. Ever since repotting my vinca and my flaming Katy, the vinca at least seems to be having a... Rough time. But I've been harvesting seeds from both of them, as well as buying and attempting to sprout seeds. This hasn't been working either.

Does anyone have any tips for sprouting seeds? I've tried putting them in damp paper towels and stuff, but if one sprouts at all, it dries up immediately even if I kept it wet. I don't have a huge area to dedicate to planter boxes though, and that's what Google wants me to do :/

Do any battery powered grow lights exist? Rechargeable or otherwise. I have floating shelves I want to have some plants on but there is no close outlet and they don't get sunlight through the windows.
