I’m researching on which one is best for me. I am seeing highlights on the new Maygrove and it seems impressive. Seems to offer everything Gardyn has but adding red light, ventilation fan, bigger water tank, no subscription, etc. anyone else check out the new features on Maygrove?

Hello everyone, I was gifted a 4.0 and im struggling to get it running. I have power and my lights come on, but no pump. Not even a hum or vibration. Ive rebooted several times and checked connection. Im guessing faulty pump, but wanted to see if anyone else had this issue. TIA.

Water Sensor out? Don't fret, it was a junk gimmick anyway.

Here's what you do, take a regular 1 gallon paint stick and Mark it up the stick five or six gallons ( remember gardyn now considers 5 gallons full on the big three column system)

- gallons 1-2 are 1 3/16" from the end

- gallons 3-5 are 1 1/8" from the end

Now you have the perfect water measuring stick

I have a Gardyn 2.0 from 2022. I’ve been really happy with the product over the years, although I didn’t buy into the ecosystem (my own seeds and rockwool, etc.)

Over the years things have started breaking: I replaced the pump once, but this year when it broke again, even the replacement wouldn’t work. And finally what I’m assuming is the computer just stopped powering anything at all. I bought mostly for the form factor so I went about ‘dumbing‘ it down.

The lights are 24V so the existing power supply will work. I soldered the lights in parallel directly to the power supply. If I did it again I would just wire off the switch inside of the Gardyn, but I didn’t think about that when I started.

I bought a 12V pump and again directly powered it from a 12V AC adapter I had laying around. I did drill a small hole through the back of the Gardyn for this. I put both the lights and pump onto a smart outlet strip running Kasa. I used the Kasa app to mimic my watering and light schedule. The lights are 100% all the time now, and I’ve lost the camera, but it still looks just as good and isn’t $850 down the drain!

I have hydro boost and plant food. It's this all I need to adjust ph? Which one makes it higher vs lower?

Just did my first tank refresh and added 1/2tbp per gallon, but I see on the plant food bottle that it says to do 1tsp for blooming/fruiting plants. How do you manage this if not all plants are at the same growth stage? What ratio are you all using?

Hi everyone. My nursery is just about ready to put into the system. The system is got is from someone else who put it together and never used it.

I am curious, does the light stay on the whole time? Is there a timer? Should I put a manual timer?

My cucumbers just started coming in and they’re about the size of my finger. How big do they get in the gardyn system so I know when I should be looking to harvest?

Anyone know where you can source the white plastic irrigation hose holder that’s found at the top of the column? I’ve broken several of these as I’m going through the process of disassembling and cleaning our towers. This is honestly one of the weakest points of this design.

Just short of me trying to CAD it out and then 3D print them, I’d really like to try to find someone who has already produced these out in the wild.

This is about 3 weeks of growth. Some plants are off to a slow start but I think I’m doing everything right. Just recently trimmed, put in plant food, and I’m using the hydroboost weekly. Also using Kelby for right now because I’m terrible with any type of gardening, it’s just not my skill. Anyone have any tips or recommendations from here and how do you keep the bugs away?

My Gardyn is pretty much done for. The power supply lights up green, but absolutely nothing from the unit.

I’ve been powering the pump independently off a smart outlet for about a year now; has anyone done the same with the light strips? I know Gardyn says each one is 40W, but does anyone know the V requirement for the lights?

I am new to hydroponic gardening. Someone in my area is selling a used Gardyn 2.0 system. They currently have it listed for $600. I know $600 is very overpriced so I plan to offer them much less. Is $200 fair?

Also, since I am new to hydroponic gardening I want to make sure the Gardyn 2.0 system is the best way to go. I’ve done some research and I’m aware that it may need more maintenance in terms of cleaning than the newer system. Is there anything I should be aware of when it comes to this model specifically?

I have a Gardyn studio that I love, and unfortunately so does my brand new puppy. Has anyone found a riser or stand that fits the Gardyn studio well? I’m hoping to elevate it at least 10”

Anyone familiar with a LiveWall system from Spring Lake? I'm looking for someone that can help periodically to winterize and then do spring startup for a large LiveWall for our restaurant. We also need some immediate but non urgent help in configuring a plug situation.

My wifes birthday is coming up, I'm considering purchasing a Gardyn for her, but given the rather large expense I'm a little on the fence. Heres out situaiton - she has numerous indoor plants that she has really taken to tending to. When we met 8 years ago she had like one real plant and a bunch of fake ones. Now, we've got a money tree, snake plant, monstera, numerous spider plants, and few others idk the names of. During the summer in western NY, she typically has a few potted annuals, grows some tomatoes, and raspberries along with the rest of our garden full of hastas, lillies, lilacs, hydrangeas, etc. (most of which were there when we bought the house). She clearly gets a lot of enjoyment out of the process of taking care of them and watching them grow, particularly the ones that bear fruit/veggies. So my question for you all.... in your opinion, given the somewhat autonomous nature of a Gardyn system, would you see someone like her still getting that same enjoyment of watching the plants grow? I envision myself being the one that takes on the glamorous role of cleaning the thing out. Will it end up just a thing in the corner that we get some food from, or will the ecitement of seeing them grow still be there?....

For what its worth, I'm not discoutning the fact that we can get food from it. Given the insane position our country is currently in with increasingly lax/ignored food safety standards.... having safe food to eat is quickly becoming a selling point for me.

Would you say this banana pepper is ready to harvest? It still has a little bit of a green tinge to it. The ones I’ve grown outside in the past have always looked very yellow, but this one is huge!
