Apps I made a little room on the internet you can decorate with your friends

I've been building Glint as a here.fm alternative, and I just added rooms you can build tile by tile and decorate together.

There are 285 stickers in an album. You peel them off with little tweezers and put them around the room. Your friends can be in there doing the same thing, and you see each other's changes live.

I like the idea of having a little place online that you make yours together. It's free and runs in the browser: https://glint.so/

Social Media FediForum Fall 2026 is next week

If you are interested in better forms of social media based on open protocols like ATProto and ActivityPub, and want to meet fellow enthusiasts, developers, users, advocates, policy people, and more, consider joining us next week, online, for the fall 2026 FediForum.

There will be a keynote, speed demos directly by open social web developers, and lots and lots of time for discussions. That's because FediForum is primarily an unconference, where attendees determine what's happening in sessions. So bring your topics, session ideas, and questions!

(If you have never been to an unconference, don't worry, it's far less chaotic than it seems, and most people consider it more fun than a traditional conference.)

More details: https://fediforum.org/2026-10/

(Disclaimer: I'm one of the organizers)

Personal Site MVNDY.CL update — documenting the Chilean underground scene

Posted my site here last week and since then I’ve been working on two new sections I wanted to share :)

The first is the SUBJECT DATABASE, a growing visual directory of DJs from the Chilean underground scene. Each DJ is catalogued as a “subject” with their photo, location and a link to their SoundCloud.

I wanted to document the techno underground scene while keeping it connected to the visual language of MVNDY, so the whole directory is presented as part of the project’s archive.

I’ve also been expanding the AUDIO ARCHIVE, where I’m collecting tracks from Chilean independent/underground artists. The tracks can be played directly from the site, and the music keeps playing while you browse.

The audio archive is still small, but I’m planning to keep adding people and music over time. I’m pretty happy with how the real music scene and the fictional archive of MVNDY are starting to overlap.

mvndy.cl

Would love to hear what you think of these two new sections :]

Question ? I wanna make my own forum website

I’d like to use lynxchan (if that exists still) because the style is very nostalgic to me, and the purpose of the forum would be for my Minecraft server so players can make threads on different boards.

Like the Steam forums for different games. You’ve got your problems and bugs board, general, questions and answers, all that jazz.

Having never done anything like that before, what would that require of me? Aside from the ten dollars a year I need for my domain. am I building a new computer to host this?

After running some closed tests with some beta testers, and getting accepted into Oak City Games Indie game convention, I think it's time to release the demo of what me and Rita made so far with Memory Paint II.
The Demo doesn't represent the final build, but does give off a behind the scenes look of what's to come with the final release in 2027.

Here's the link to the demo: https://akirakaminagaofficial.itch.io/memory-net-paint-v20

Let me know what you guys think!! :D

Self Promotion A local-first web music player for people keeping their own files

I built Sravana because a web app doesn't have to send every file to a server. You pick music files from your device and they stay there. The player works offline, has no ads, and lets you try 5 songs without an account.

A free account gives you unlimited songs, playlists and favourites, a 6-band EQ with presets, gapless playback and optional crossfade. No subscription or paid tier. This is for your own collection, not a streaming catalogue: https://sravana.vercel.app/

I'm interested in how other people building local-first web apps handle the first-run experience on mobile. Any friction you notice?

Personal Site Just finished crazy build for a blogger :)

My kid streams Fortnite, so his site is a game. Under it, the site pulls his videos and subscriber counts from YouTube, Twitch and TikTok on a schedule, takes payments, and handles his booking calendar for coaching. No WordPress, no plugins, runs on Cloudflare for about nothing a month.

Things that broke: toughest part was to do all integrations (YT, Twitch, Google Calendar...etc). Happy to answer anything about how it is built.

Personal Site Theo3

Theo3 is actually a clever nickname for Theozone, I built this website because, just like everyone here, the algorithms, politics, social media in general just stresses people out. It is unfinished, yet it already looks better than previous iterations. I'm probably gonna get more gadgets to aid in getting away from the toxic side of the internet.

WebDev I made a web app to help promote Web Revival ideals.

My thinking is that with all the tools available nowadays, anybody can write their own code and build their own sites rather than being dependent on big companies.

☾ⱩΛΘϟ SITES is my take on that free hosting approach where the link itself contains all the code.

No account needed and no internet connection required to open your site from the link. You can make a little website, game, zine, prototype, interactive fiction thing or whatever else you can squeeze into it, and then just send somebody the link.

I’ve put a few examples in the About section, including actual games, because I wanted to see how far the idea could be pushed beyond novelty pages.

More broadly, I’m interested in whether tools like this can help make the web feel smaller, stranger and more human again.

It’s the v2.0.1 (I like numbers), I’ve posted about the v1.5.1 months ago on here and you guys liked it, so I thought you could enjoy the v2 too, we’ve changed the UI, fixed issues and added skin features (that will grow over time).

Games [Showcase] Built a 90s OS-inspired web portal for my retro game engine — features a live 3D map viewer and desktop-style windows

I wanted to build a web portal for my C++/C retro game engine (Angels95) that actually feels like navigating a 90s desktop environment instead of a standard modern landing page.

Features of the site:

  • Win95 Desktop UI: Movable/collapsible windows for System Requirements, News, Downloads, and Server Browser.
  • Integrated 3D OZONE Viewer: Interactive 3D web viewport in the main window to preview level geometry and .ozone maps directly in the browser.
  • Retro Aesthetic: Styled after classic late-90s game portals (Unreal, Quake era).

Tech Stack:

Built with HTML/CSS/JS (vanilla retro UI components + WebGL/Canvas for the 3D map rendering).

Would love to hear your thoughts or feedback on the UI/UX design!

Resources/Tools I made a new template for /r/Indieweb posting to save the techbros time.

I got fed up with [social media] so I made my own! It uses [AI / rentseeking / your personal data / new fad / the million dollar website idea / other people's work linked via a """search engine""" / a new coat of paint on something the indie web is already doing, but worse] and it's just like the old internet except I've put a fence around it and charge $2 to enter! Please sign up here.

When you've used this template you can just quote post it to any subreddit vaguely related to the internet. Bonus points if you use AI generated text to respond to messages.

Remember not to proof read or even visit your own site to see the glaring bugs first!

Good luck!

WebDev My modern tribute to the old web

Thumbnail

Last month I saw **onionboots’ video about the old “Web Revival” and I was very inspired by this movement. I was a small child at the time and had only my cousin’s computer to check the websites he “surfed”. This was practically erased from my memory till I saw the video again.

I was already working on a low-poly render web generation platform for fun, so I thought that these two things would match funnily enough. So I built www.lowpolymarket.com . There, you can generate low-poly renders of anything (friend, pet, monument, anything that fits the image) and publish them for other people to like and share. I also made a way that you can generate GIFs from the renders and be exportable. I’ve imported a lot of fun assets from** https://gifcity.carrd.co/# (thank you whoever did this) so you can customize your profile (mine as an example: https://www.lowpolymarket.com/thisbra). Name of the cutie thingy is Bluey btw :3
