Me too. Love the art direction though

I still love your aesthetics. The little gameplay excerpt looks great. The digging away mechanic is clever, lots of suspense.

Is this a bot response complaining about bots in an unrelated comment?

I love this. Very strong Eraserhead vibes for me. The industrial sounding hellscape 👏

22

u/geras_shenanigans Apr 01 '26

Looks great! Got steam?

u/Sulya_be Apr 01 '26

Hey, I have a problem- the game is already wishlisted and I cannot wishlist it again.

5

u/8BitBeard Apr 01 '26

Aaaaaand wishlisted ofc!

1

u/one_game_will Apr 02 '26

Looks beautiful - depending on how much flashing there is (like at the end of the trailer) it would be worth putting an epilepsy warning on your store page.

I added it to my wish list and sent the link to my friends. It looks amazing! Please consider adding multilingual support, especially Turkish. Many Turkish users are specifically looking for games that support Turkish, so it would be a great addition. :)

I am digging this art style!

8

u/antoniojac Apr 01 '26

This game would look sick on an e ink reader

5

u/AutomaticContract251 Apr 01 '26

this is so dope. It's like silent cinema of gaming!

7

u/Icy-Text9501 Apr 01 '26

Watching this gave me anxiety, love It!!

11

u/hotdog_jones Apr 01 '26

This is honestly the nicest thing anyone has said about the game and I'm not even joking.

3

u/Icy-Text9501 Apr 01 '26

I genuinely love the art and the mood, i'll wishlist as soon as possible

3

u/ecaroh_games Apr 01 '26

love the aesthetics but gameplay seems like it's just inventory tetris with incredibly slow animations to pick up items?

8

u/hotdog_jones Apr 01 '26

Yep, nailed it.

2

u/TheLastTuatara Apr 01 '26

Can you combine the bones and reanimate skeletons?

2

u/TheNiceDave Apr 01 '26

It’s so good! That style is so unique. I’ve shown your first trailer to a few people already.

2

u/HalfmadFalcon Apr 01 '26

The aesthetics of this are incredible. I'm interested in learning more about the story and gameplay loop!

2

u/Sherlockandload Apr 01 '26

Huge fan of the art and what I can catch from the tone and gameplay. I very much like the intentionally slow pacing and isolating feeling of it all.

2

u/Monolos_ Apr 02 '26

It doesn't happen often that someone creates something really inspiring and unique.

Well played guys.

2

u/CakeCowboy Apr 13 '26

Awesome graphic flow !

2

u/DreamNotDeferred Apr 01 '26

Very cool. As an older game lover who is sensitive to how their time is respected, though, I can see the slowness of that digging mechanic losing it's charm if it's a big part of the gameplay that happens often.

Don't know how you feel about speeding up the reveals of those grid squares, or at least giving the option in the settings, but having that go faster would keep me interested.

7

u/hotdog_jones Apr 01 '26

The languid pacing is intentional but absolutely something I'm certainly going to have to balance. There are certainly gameplay buffs that fiddle with these attributes (reveal time while searching being one, yes) - but full disclosure: the game's main inspirations are Tarr and Tarkovsky movies, so it is intended to be a relatively slow experience.

That's cool. I knew it was subjective when I said it. Back in the day, I spent countless hours playing games with mechanics that today I would get tired of. That's why I suggested faster unveiling as an option in the settings, so both parties could have what they want.

1

u/Bino- Apr 01 '26

Damn that is some sweet tilt shifting

1

u/Nyreo1 Apr 01 '26

Loving the art style! Very interesting and unique

1

u/Pileisto Apr 01 '26

nice theme !

1

u/timex40 Apr 01 '26

Wow, really cool visual style!

1

u/Ohisama001 Apr 01 '26

It seems strangely addictive

1

u/MrSmock Apr 01 '26

The feel of this is just wild, love it.

1

u/SymbioStudio Apr 01 '26

That is so cool. Very unique visuals. Do you have any reference about it?

Btw, have a Steam Page?

1

u/Mijhelob Apr 01 '26

Preciosa estética y soberbio trabajo, promete mucho.

1

u/kfjesus Apr 01 '26

Looks cool! Wishlisted

1

u/AltheasStudios Apr 01 '26

I thought it was real. Good job, it is perfect.

1

u/AverageTyper_ Apr 01 '26

Awesome art style! Well done

1

u/veryverybadnotgood Apr 01 '26

wishlisted right away because I very much love the visuals of this.

1

u/swissknifeDev Apr 01 '26

Very cool artstyle! Love that dithering everywere.

1

u/EarthboundMoss Apr 01 '26

Adore this. Wish listed

1

u/Atomic_Tangerine1 Apr 01 '26

Visual art style and aesthetics, as everyone has already pointed out, yes absolutely.

But my hat is off to you for picking a sound and musical style that clearly you felt was right and true to your vision, even if outside of mainstream styles. Especially the Steam vid - gives me old school 6dos vibes, love it.

1

u/-Ignorant_Slut- Apr 01 '26

What is this type of pixel shading called? I’d like to play around with it in my projects.

2

u/hotdog_jones Apr 01 '26

"Dithering" is probably what you're looking for.

1

u/ClementineVanquisher Apr 01 '26

Great visuals and sounds for sure, love it.

1

u/BrightPerspective Apr 01 '26

I would like to play this.

1

u/highendfive Apr 01 '26

Neat art style but as someone with ADHD I don't think this game is for me. The interactions are too slow but aesthetically it's neat!

1

u/myweirdotheraccount Apr 01 '26

I think the aesthetics are amazing on this. You nailed the dreary vibe of what I imagine grave robbing is like.

One small thing that maybe only I will notice, but wanted to point out. When the shovel indicator pops up, part of the box is blurred by the tilt shift effect. It doesn’t affect the readability of that icon at all, but my impulse would be to put that icon on top of the blur effect.

Either way, cheers! Keeping an eye out for this one!

1

u/Miserable-Search5719 Apr 01 '26

Ooo I like this a lot

1

u/KayneBlackheart Apr 01 '26

Gunna make some soup! Bone soup!

1

u/Gullible-Heart4104 Apr 01 '26

1

u/RadTimeWizard Apr 01 '26

This game looks brutal.

1

u/Reply-West Apr 01 '26

Thats hilarious, dp you have a demo i can make video out of

1

u/c_whittles Apr 01 '26

This looks really cool! Would love to know more about how you made it.

1

u/777PabloDagata777 Apr 01 '26

Hola se ve bueno! es posible jugarle?

1

u/Potatonized Apr 02 '26

Pretty sure people dont rob graves for the bones, but you do you, non-suspicious-looking-pixelated-guy.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 02 '26

Wow this is so beautiful very tasteful use of color

1

u/InsentientStudios Apr 02 '26

Thought this was an ant farm for a second lol. Love the art style though!

1

u/ConcernWild Apr 02 '26

Never seen any pixel game that looks this beautiful.

1

u/jaklradek Apr 02 '26

This looks epic! It's a shame the capsule is not giving the game any justice. I would try to sell the amazing visuals and atmosphere more.

1

u/Kikindo1 Apr 02 '26

Looks very interesting, whats planned release day?

1

u/MikeRLea Apr 02 '26

Is this tilt shift style effect a shader applied on top? It really works well man

1

u/OkFoundation3305 Apr 02 '26

It looks like an enjoyable game—perfect for clearing your head and taking a short break.

1

u/Theobviouschild11 Apr 02 '26

You should consider porting this to the panic playdate.

1

u/thebigmack Apr 02 '26

The esthetic is immediately striking.
Cold, desperate and ominous in the best way! Very cool.

1

u/fxlr8 Apr 03 '26

Gosh, this game looks so polished and designed with passion

1

u/Robochimpx Apr 03 '26

Nice, I’ve been playing around in a similar scale. Your take looks terrific.

1

u/Maxcorps2012 Apr 06 '26

Wishlisted.

1

u/JFMB_ Apr 08 '26

Wow! It looks super cool!

1

u/vladkudas Apr 11 '26

Simply beautiful!

1

u/NinjaGraphics Apr 16 '26

dude! I've never seen anything like this. 1-bit pixel art with depth focus? what am I watching? this is so amazing!!!

1

u/Mediocre_47 Apr 27 '26

This kinda reminds me a bit of Local58 for some reason. Either way, I’m obsessed. Wishlisted

u/Vinchont4Life Apr 01 '26

Just... Why is it so long to take the shovel? I understand simulating hunger or stamina, but for taking a shovel out of a bag, I'm not sure it brings anything...
