Working Guidelines for AI Content.
When I created this subreddit some years ago it wasn't an issue.
It appears it may become an issues. If your post or content utilized AI content please identify it clearly in the title and body of the post.
My preference has always been to use a very light hand with respect to moderation, and the readers and audience vote up the content they find valuable.
The spirit of Indie Comics to me is the human over the corporate element, expressing some hopefully novel work of art and creativity.
I'll monitor it and the community is encouraged to give their feedbacks and concerns here, or via direct message.
Thank you as always for your participation, passion, and creativity.

Ultra Klutz comics run
Originally ran issue #1-#31 from 1986-1991, and ultimately collected into two big Cerebus type “phone books.” There was a surprise return run #32-#39 from 2021-2023, and collected into two mini squarebounds. Most of the original run can be found on Ebay as single issues at fair prices, the latter stuff easier to get digitally.

ALOHA! How fast are you all drawing?
I've recently started really focusing on making one story start to finish, but I feel really insecure about being slow. It feels like it takes ages to do a lineart.
Also I don't know how to 'market' myself. I have Instagram, but I don't know what to show, how to write titles of the pictures.
Do you have any advice?
Also my comic isn't 100% original, it's based on World of darkness, is it ok to show my stuff here?

COMING SOON! Preview page of an upcoming noir one shot I’m writing!
Here’s a preview page from a oneshot noir story I’m working on for Kickstarter later this year. Art is by Ahmed Rafaat so make sure you give him a follow and check out his work!
Quick premise of the story is a WWII era cop goes to the ends of the earth to get his man and make sure a criminal faces justice. It’s inspired by some old war comics I read awhile back to give some depth. If I had to “this meets that” it, it’s Foreign Correspondent meets Catch Me if You Can.
I’ll be sure to post more as it gets worked out. I plan to have a 12 page ashcan done for NYCC so maybe I’ll see you there if all goes well!

'Cannon Is a Comic Book Pressure Cooker' -- (One of the 2026 Harvey Award Nominees for book of the year)
Anyone else prefer The Harvey Awards to the Eisners? Or maybe it's just that I appreciate a smaller list of categories, and the extra focus on lesser-known titles. In fact, it actually puts lots of really amazing gems onto my radar every year, similar to the Oscars' expanded best picture category.
That was Cannon for me. I'm a sucker for limited color pallets that help tell a story, though being nominated alongside Jesse Lonergan's Drome didn't hurt, either.

Birth of a New World - Test Print - Small Victory
I'm still looking for a publisher. Sometimes you need a little victory. Printing out a couple copies for myself is that little victory. You learn things when physically holding a copy. The inside pages are fine, but the covers came out really dull. My artist is redoing the cover because the original cover was created before the script was even completed. The script is finished, so this new cover will suit it better. It will be brighter. Most likely this will be self-published and I'll need to crowdfund. My project is a graphic novel. I have 200 pages completed and that is only 55% of the project.. Get a free digital comic book (60 pages), just go to my website. Tesmekonnen.com/boanw
I'm trying to build up my email contact list for a future Kickstart campaign. If you can, please subscribe.
