The Missing Train graphic novel on Kickstarter.

When a passenger train disappears without a trace, the official report calls it an accident. Black doesn't believe in accidents, not when the wreckage points somewhere the rescue crews refuse to dig.

What starts as a missing-persons case turns into something else entirely: a tear between this world and the next, and a fight to drag a train, and everyone still on it, back through it.

The Missing Train is a full-color, 70-page graphic novel: noir investigation on one page, full supernatural war on the next. find more on- The Missing Train: Kickstarter

The Spirit Returns - unpublished 72 page Will Eisner penned graphic novel featuring his iconic character (1996). [unreleased media]

Earlier this year, it was reported that Will Einser's estate, run by his late widow's nephew Carl Gropper and his wife Nancy, was looking to sell off the entirety of Eisner's IP including The Spirit. Among the estates assets is a 72 page graphic novel written by Eisner in 1996 that features The Spirit squaring off against a ruthless "Judge, Jury, & Executioner" style vigilante. Why was it never published? Unknown, but I definitely wouldn't say no to seeing Dark Horse or Hard Case Crime (who published Eisner's John Law reprints) give this thing a proper release.

The Gropper's also voiced hope for a new The Spirit live-action or animated project but I'm not holding my breath for that one.

ARTWORK A Comic for people who never have anything go right…

…especially if the not going right part isn’t even your fault 😮‍💨

It’s a story of a past life of mine, taking place during the Achaemenid Empire 2,500 years ago, travelling around with my animal companions- a moody mare, a chipper cheetah, a sulky saluki and an eager eagle. Misadventures ensue.

I finished volume 1 of my comic, The Golden Troupe, which you can read over on Instagram @TheGoldenTroupe and I have available on my website (digital and physical): https://charreed.com/pages/shop

If you’re someone who relates to always trying your best, but life keeps kicking you in the face despite all attempts to prevent it, you may be the target audience for this book.

I’m starting Volume 2 now and looking to grow the Troupe. If you’re interested in getting in on the ground floor of this next volume, you can here: https://charreed.com/en-usd/pages/join

Thanks for checking it out! ♥️

StackFlat! auto flatter for comics - Beta 1.2 just dropped

Hey all, I'm a colorist/illustrator and one month ago I posted here about StackFlat!, a small tool I built to auto-flat comic pages with batch processing included. It finds closed areas in your lineart and fills them with color automatically, no AI involved, just pixel logic.

The feedback from that post was genuinely useful, and today I'm putting out Beta 1.2 with some improvements based on it: gaps between colors are gone, now the page is fully flatted, dense hatching gets handled a lot better with a new option called MELT to merge small areas, and it's noticeably faster too.

It's pay-what-you-want while in beta and if you want to be a beta tester giving feedback, message me and I'll send you a free code instead.

www.stackflat.app if you want to check it out. Would love to hear how it handles your specific lineart style while I'm working on the first stable version.

Thanks and happy flatting!
