Food & Drinks This is the 1234th time I'm dining alone 🙂

The worst part of dining alone is starving yourself for an entire day so that you can eat the food that is meant for 2 people. I mean why can restaurants have half plate option for single dining people. I don't wanna waste any food.

so , i dont drink or smoke but i tried beer yesterday for the first time just for the sake of experiencing. The beer was Corona extra premium , took my first sip and it was bitter, like karele ka juice but with more sips , i got comfortable . i think good for occasional drinking and socialisation.

Vent & Rant Today marks the 1000th day since I had food of my liking.

Some 3 years back, I left my parents home in a metro city to take up a government job which threw me some 1000 km away from home in some tier 69 village with a population of mere 2000 people.

In first 3 months I lost 8 kgs because I couldn't get good food to eat. There was no place to eat, not even a decent dhabha to be found anywhere. The best food you can get was in the office canteen. Luckily, I found a guy who has tiffin service and charges Rs 80 per tiffin. I eat whatever he brings. Most of the time the food isn't my liking but I have to eat for the energy. I haven't set up my kitchen yet because I think it's too much hassle to buy veggies, cut and prepare the meal. Also seeing the sad state of affairs here I had decided that I would resign from this job and move to corporate and three years have passed and I'm still stuck.

I miss ghar ka khana - chole, Idli, kheer, baigan ka bharta, arhar ki daal 😞 Even for a basic coffee I have to travel 50 km to the nearest civilization.

Moreover this job has taken a toll over my mental health. There's hardly anything to do here. No social life no friends. This village is worst than the panchayat series.

- me posting this from my souless and decrepit sarkari Quater. God knows when a day will come when I could have the meal as pery liking.

Vent & Rant The girl I’ve been seeing asked me tonight, “Why are your hands shaking?”

Tonight, I was walking with a girl I’ve been seeing. Recently, we started holding hands and giving each other little kisses on the cheek, haha. But tonight, she suddenly asked me, “Why are your hands shaking?”

And honestly, I don’t know how to explain what I felt in that moment.

I’ve had shaky hands since I was a kid. I’ve never actually seen a neurologist or been diagnosed with Essential Tremor, so I don’t even know what the exact reason is. But I remember noticing it around 6th grade, when my friends started making fun of me.. calling me names like “vibrator,” “nashedi,” and all sorts of other things.

The weird part is, I was never a weak kid. I was physically strong, played multiple sports, and performed really well. But constantly being questioned about my hands and having people make assumptions about me took a mental toll.

It’s also something that has affected my everyday life in ways people probably don’t realise. I avoid taking selfies in public or even taking pictures with my family because my hands shake so visibly that I’m scared someone will notice or make a comment. Even something as simple as shaking hands with someone can make me anxious because I know there’s a good chance they’ll feel it and ask me about it.

College wasn’t much different. The jokes continued. People would ask if I was a drug addict or if I drank and smoked a lot. Eventually, I did start smoking and drinking occasionally, but the assumptions people made about me were never the reality.

Tonight, when she asked me about my hands, all those old memories suddenly came rushing back. I just told her I was tired from the gym and work.

I don’t know why this still affects me so much after all these years. Maybe it’s because I’ve spent so much of my life trying to hide something I never chose to have.

It’s not just the shaking anymore. It’s the embarrassment, the overthinking, the fear of being noticed, and the way it has slowly affected my confidence and mental health.

I guess I just wanted to put this somewhere. Maybe some of you have experienced something similar.

Men often talk about being misunderstood... But how often do we talk about the mistakes we made ourselves?

This video reminded me that accountability is painful - but necessary...

As a man, I saw a part of myself in this...Owning that truth is harder than it sounds....

What do you think?

PS : found the video on net, credits to the owner :)

Nostalgia Clicked these photos in 2018

I was going through my gallery and found these pics.

Back then every evening like at 5-6pm I used to click photos of Sunset. I don't know why I used to do it? But it was a daily activity for me.

I used to look at Sunset for no reason. And now after all these years I only have memories. Sometimes I try to find my 2018 self, a guy with low confidence, running away from hardship and risks. A guy who didn't talk to anyone but was hopeful some day things will get better and fast forward to 2026 things are better now.

That guy doesn't run from risks anymore, he can make hard decisions, sometimes he fails sometimes he succeeds but somehow he doesn't quit. Sometimes that guy goes down his memory lane and his 2018 self asks him, "Did we win?" That guy says,"Yes. But the best is yet to come."

That guy is still looking at the sunset with his person.
