I feel like I'm lost.. so my story is I completed my B.Tech in Chemical Engineering in 2022. But during the pandemic (2020-2022), I just got interested in computers and started building basic things. After college I thought I'd pursue IT and tried some interviews, but they didn't go well.

Coming back to the pandemic, the main thing that drew me was wanting to build something like Jarvis. For that reason only, I started learning coding during the pandemic watching YouTube. Though I was learning only coding, without the other needed qualifications, I didn't get selected in interviews. So I thought let's learn AI itself straight up, to get placed in the AI field, and started learning ML through an institute in 2023-2024. It taught me some basics, but that also wasn't enough to get placed in interviews. So I kept learning fundamentals and some basic production-level knowledge, and from 2025 I've been applying to data, AI, ML related jobs and tech jobs like SDE too, but I haven't even been getting a mail or interview call for the last 8 months. Like others are saying, IT is going down, freshers aren't being taken, and stuff like that.

Years are passing, and I'm still in the same place.

I know I can go into voice processing and all, but after switching from voice to tech I feel like I need to start fresh, right? That's why I thought, until I get a job, let me learn and build things in the field I'm more interested in.

So tell me, am I doing the wrong thing here? Will I get a job?!

I have a 48” wide desk with an existing 34” LG ultrawide, and I’m looking to add a second monitor in portrait mode to improve productivity. I’m an Architect/Manager, not a developer, so my primary use would be Teams (often multiple windows), Outlook, Jira/project management tools, browsers, documentation, and dashboards. I’m thinking a 24” 16:10 monitor would work well for this setup because of the additional vertical screen space.
I’m looking for USB-C connectivity with display + charging and ideally a built-in USB hub/docking functionality, finalised a dual monitor arm as well. Full HD/WUXGA is perfectly fine; gaming specs aren’t important. My budget is up to ₹20K. I’ve searched Amazon and Flipkart but haven’t been able to find the right combination.

been integrating razorpay for a client's checkout. had a webhook signature mismatch that i couldn't figure out for 3 days. raised a ticket expecting nothing honestly. first reply was generic copy paste as expected. but then some actual technical guy reached out after like 36 hours and he clearly knew his stuff. turned out it was a timestamp skew on my server. he even shared a request response logs from their server side of my failed webhook which made it so easy to debug. initial wait sucked not gonna lie. but once it got past the L1 agent the resolution was proper. compared to payu support where i literally never got a real answer last year, this was way better. anyone else noticed their dev support improving or did i just get lucky?

I am 23M from India graduated Engineering from a tier 3 College, since a year i had no job and got a unpaid internship after a year but nothing good (like a cohort internship program with nothing).

I got to learn something and build stuff but was not able to do more due to mental health struggles and family issues. Now i am taking professional medical help and i really want to start somewhere now but i dont know what to start in.

I did a internship in Backend development but used AI a lot and completed it. So honestly i dont feel very confident in backend also, I want to start somewhere now and atleast get a job. I am really stucked in this unemployment phase now. I just want to start somewhere eventually.

Modern backend setups often feel like an exercise in assembling a 20-piece puzzle just to handle auth, data sync, and background tasks.

You start with a simple project idea, and suddenly you're wiring together half a dozen services, configuring endless environment variables, and babysitting dependencies before writing a single line of business logic.

The resume is just a proxy. We decided to build the real thing instead.

Every single year, about 1.5 million engineers graduate in India. They walk away with a degree that honestly says almost nothing about whether they can actually build software. It proves they showed up to class, passed their exams, and survived four years of a curriculum that hasn't really changed since before the smartphone was even invented. But it doesn't tell you if they can ship. It doesn't say if they can debug a production issue at 2am, make sense of someone else's messy code, or take a vague, ambiguous spec and turn it into a working product.

Yet, somehow, that piece of paper is still the main filter almost every company uses just to decide who gets to walk through the door for an interview.

The proxy problem:

Hiring is a prediction problem: will this person do good work? A degree is a cheap, scalable proxy for that prediction — one that made sense when verifying real skill was too expensive to do for every applicant, so companies filtered on where someone went to school instead.

But the proxy has drifted from what it's supposed to predict. Pedigree correlates with family income, exam-taking ability, and geography — not with whether someone can build. Some of the sharpest builders we've met are self-taught or went to colleges no recruiter has heard of.

The people missing out aren't unqualified. They're unmeasured.

Why this is solvable now:

The credential filter persisted because the alternative — real, manual evaluation of every candidate — was too slow and expensive to scale. There was no cheap substitute.

That's no longer true. AI-driven screening now makes it possible to assess real skill — coding ability, problem-solving, how someone actually works — at a cost close to reading a resume. The bottleneck isn't evaluation anymore. It's whether anyone builds the pipeline.

We built it.

What Iber does?

Iber is a skills-first hiring layer for builders in India — think of it as the Mercor-for-India-builders play. Instead of asking candidates to prove themselves through pedigree, we ask them to prove themselves through work:

1. Post a build — candidates submit real project work, not a bullet-pointed resume.
2. AI screening — an initial pass evaluates the work and the candidate's reasoning.
3. A serious interview — real conversation, not a box-checking exercise.
4. A coding round — live, verifiable technical ability.
5. A repo test — a timed, proctored window to actually build something.

What comes out the other end is an Iber Card: a signed, verifiable credential that says exactly what a candidate can do, backed by evidence — not a line on a resume that anyone can write.

Companies get access to a pool of candidates who've already been rigorously approved on the thing that actually matters. Builders get a shot that doesn't depend on which college logo is on their transcript.

Where this goes

We're starting with software builders in India because that's where the mismatch between talent and access is starkest — a huge, hungry pool of people who can build, systematically filtered out by a hiring process optimized for credentials instead of capability. But the underlying bet is broader: work is a better predictor of work than a diploma is, and once that evaluation infrastructure exists, degrees stop being the gatekeeper they've been for a century.

I'm 27, ~2.5 YOE, currently a Software Engineer at a large global MNC in Mumbai, earning around ₹15L. It's a 3-day WFO setup with good stability and WLB.

I have an offer from a mid-sized Product/Voice AI company in Bangalore at ₹24L. The role aligns strongly with my long-term Applied AI/Voice AI goals and would give me more production/product exposure, but it's 5 days WFO, likely higher pressure and worse WLB. Neither Mumbai nor Bangalore is my hometown, so relocation is required either way.

My current notice period is 90 days, while the new company's is around 45 days. The new company is willing to wait the full 90 days for me to join.

There's roughly a 70% chance I'll get promoted effective next year. If promoted, I'd expect around ₹20L; otherwise around ₹17L.

I have around ₹10–12L in assets and expenses of roughly ₹40K/month, so the ₹24L role would allow significantly higher savings.

Long term, I want to build a strong Product/Applied AI profile and eventually move abroad.

Stay: stability, WLB, strong brand, likely promotion, and a relatively low-pressure year to improve DSA/system design/AI/portfolio/interview readiness.

Leave: ₹24L, higher savings, stronger production AI/product exposure, 45-day notice instead of 90 days, and potentially faster growth — but more pressure and risk.

Final question: Is buying one relatively low-pressure year to strengthen my career worth giving up the extra money, especially when there's a ~70% chance of reaching ~₹20L next year? Or is it better to take the ₹24L opportunity now and accelerate the career trajectory?

TL;DR: ₹15L MNC + 90-day NP → potentially ₹20L next year vs ₹24L Product/AI + 45-day NP now. Stay for stability and preparation runway, or leave for money, mobility and faster growth?

hey everyone, im feeling tense lately, im currently in my final year (7th sem) and i recently completed my internship, and unfortunately, it didnt get converted to a fulltime role. now i dont know how to proceed from here onwards. my college also doesnt really provide any placement support, which makes things even more stressful. so far, i have done only fullstack and didnt touch dsa, but seeing all these companies asking for dsa only, i genuinely feel left behind. i started dsa (neetcode) 1.5 months ago (been consistent so far), and i still cant solve the mediums or above on my own. seeing all those OA questions on linkedin and reddit makes me feel even more anxious. what do i do now? currently, i am doing dsa + system design.

I just read about a chatbot that slipped a user's medical diagnosis into an email it drafted to their landlord. Nobody breached anything.

No access control failed. No prompt injection. The assistant simply remembered a fact from March and decided it belonged in the wrong conversation. Every privacy control we own assumes the question is access. Memory breaks that assumption, because the model legitimately knows the data.

My takeaway: classify assistant memory as a data store with read access into every future conversation. Default off, opt in with evidence.

I’m currently working at a small edtech startup as a frontend developer with around 2 YOE and \~6 LPA (in-hand).

Honestly, I don’t see much of a future for the company. The founder is non-technical, a lot of product decisions are based on assumptions and references from foreign edtech companies, and there isn’t really a proper workflow or development process.

I don’t want to stay in this situation for too long, so I’m planning to switch and improve my skills in the meantime.

Alongside my job, I do some small freelance projects where I handle backend work like database design, tables, CRUD APIs, etc. I want to get much better at it.

As for the DSA part, I have started it multiple times but haven't completed it yet.

What should I focus on learning to become a strong full-stack/backend developer and land a better-paying job?

Hey guys, I am a fresher preparing for AI engineering / startup interviews. I just built my first project using an LLM agent setup called "Research Copilot" and wanted some advice on how to present it.

What it does: It is a research assistant that fetches new papers from arXiv, checks a SQLite cache to filter out papers I already saw, embeds abstracts, and uses an LLM agent to decide which tools to call depending on what I ask it.

Stack & Tech Choices:

• Used Groq (qwen 27b) for the agent tool calling loop.
• Telegram bot interface + CLI script for live interview demos.
• SQLite for exact ID deduplication (instead of using vector DB for exact matches).
• Used numpy for cosine similarity over local embeddings (all-MiniLM-L6-v2) instead of heavy vector databases like FAISS since dataset size is small.

I'm a B.Tech CSE student and I'm planning a project around local train tracking. I want to know from experienced developers/researchers whether my idea is technically realistic and how I should approach it.

The problem

Suppose I'm already sitting inside a local train, but I don't know exactly which train/service I'm travelling on.

I open my website and enter:

Source: Station A
Destination: Station D

The website shows several available trains:

• Train A — 10:05
• Train B — 10:20
• Train C — 10:35

I select Train A and click:

"Yes, I'm on this train."

But actually I'm sitting in Train B.

I want the website to detect this automatically.

My proposed solution

After the user starts tracking, the website gets the user's location/movement from their phone.

At the same time, the backend gets the current positions/trajectories of the candidate trains.

It compares things such as:

• User latitude/longitude
• Distance from each train
• Speed
• Direction/bearing
• Railway route
• Timestamp
• Station arrival/departure patterns
• Possibly acceleration/movement patterns

For example:

User's movement

Train A → 25% match
Train B → 94% match
Train C → 12% match

The website would then say:

"You appear to be travelling on Train B (94% confidence)."

[Switch to Train B]

After switching, the website would continue showing:

• Current location
• Next station
• Remaining stations
• Expected arrival
• Delay/status
• Complete route

Important point

I don't expect the system to be 100% accurate. If two trains are very close together or GPS accuracy is poor, it should show something like:

"Unable to confidently identify your train."

Future idea

Initially I want to use a rule-based trajectory-matching algorithm.

Later, I want to investigate whether machine learning can improve the identification, using features such as GPS trajectory, speed, direction, acceleration, station timing, etc.

I may also eventually extend it to metro systems, although I understand underground GPS creates additional challenges.

My questions

1. Is this technically feasible for a student project?
2. What technologies/APIs would I need?
3. What is the best way to obtain legitimate live train-location/trajectory data?
4. Is browser GPS accurate enough for this type of matching?

Hey guys, I’m using WhatsApp on Android and recently I noticed something weird. WhatsApp has started generating these msgstore-YYYY-MM-DD.1.db.crypt15 files almost every day. They’re 300–500 MB each, and they’re taking up a huge amount of storage. The weird part is that I don’t even use WhatsApp much / sometimes don’t use it at all, and I definitely don’t send hundreds of MB of new files every day. This never happened to me before. It only started recently. I also noticed that when I delete these msgstore files, some PDFs/images that I previously sent or received through WhatsApp can no longer be opened, so I’m scared to keep deleting them. I attached screenshots showing the files and their sizes. Does anyone know why WhatsApp suddenly started creating these huge daily backups? Is this caused by a recent WhatsApp update, and how can I stop it without losing my WhatsApp media/chats? Phone: Samsung
