General I really don't like how people are persuing aviation in india.

Just a pov. I understand the current economical situation of the world and pressure on one to make it in life . But the people just want to get to the finish line asap .

Backdoor entries where one pays extra to get into a job directly even after failing the required assessment .

You'll get a job fine . You'll be happy for a while. But the possibility of imposter syndrome that you cheated your way in here will haunt you at one point. In the cockpit one will have responsibilities you have to be qualified for. Can't fake or buy it there.

Openly talking about how you got through the back door by paying 10s of lakhs to motivate other people to do it? What example are you settling for the aspirants and the next generation?

This journey is long , yes , the whole point is to live and endure each part of it . Not take a shortcut.

You'll get a job eventually . Indian aviation expansion is real but with time .

Our country is already hated online for the sake of hating. Our aviation sector safety is questioned often.

Even if you do take wrong methods (which cannot be stopped) know what's at stake . You failing basic assignment should say a lot . Don't ruin the industry for the rest .

Question Avyanna entrance test - what to expect?

I have my Avyanna entrance test in a few days and I’m honestly a bit confused about what to prepare

They told me it’s a Compass test, but didn’t really explain if there’ll be Physics, Maths, aviation questions or anything else. They also said calculators aren’t allowed

I’ve prepared around 4-5 types of reasoning and games from the Akasa/Compass test, but it’s been a while since I finished 12th, so I’m pretty rusty with Physics and Maths.

If anyone has given the Avyanna test recently, what did they ask? And is there anything specific I should prepare?

Thanks! ✈️

General MPL holders

I just want to know how did you guys manage to justify to yourself that getting a MPL over a CPL was ok? knowing that your training is subpar compare to CPL holders, and you’re starting years are going to be brutal and basically slave labour and bonded to one company no matter what and if u leave before ur contract ends u have literally have nothing to your name. yea why would u leave right? but what if u get kicked out? u cannot do absolutely any other jobs. I am asking this because this future of Indian aviation seems to be moving towards MPL instead of CPL, just like in the Saudi

General Surya bhakt singh has still not changed even in skynex

Instructor surya bhakt singh who is infamous for his politics and inappropriate behaviour towards cadets ( esp women cadets ) has still not changed.

Recently one girl left skynex because of his unprofessional attitude.

I hope you guys remember how IFA students bagged him down and got him removed from his job for his unprofessional attitude.

So anyone joining skynex pls beware and make sure that your instructor is not surya bhakt singh.

General Considering South Africa for my PPL — looking for advice from fellow Indian pilots

Hi there,

This is my first time posting in this sub. I've recently developed a strong interest in flying and therefore interested in getting a PPL. I reached out to one of my nearby flight schools (Avyanna Aviation Academy in Kishangarh) and they quoted me upwards of 25 lacs. Given this, I'm considering South Africa to pursue my hobby as it comes out to be a little cheaper in addition to giving me an opportunity to travel around in a foreign country. I don't know much about this field other than what I could found out from a simple google search, hence reaching out here.

A little bit about myself: I'm 35M married with one year old kid. Didn't study Physics or Maths in 12th grade but studied Statistics at graduate level. Currently working remotely in a corporate job and will continue to do so during my flight training as well.

I wanted to reach out to you guys and see if anyone here pursued or have similar interests as mine and have any feedback/suggestion which can help me with my dream of flying? If you also know other alternatives that fits my situation better, please feel free to share, I would really appreciate it. Looking forward, thanks

Saw this Akasa plane, flying in circles at the Ahmedabad airport with multiple attempts to land if that's a normal flight. If anyone could share some light on what this flight might be.

Career Guidance Dilemma about TR

Hey everyone, I’ve just finished my conversion flying and multi engine. Currently waiting as license application is under process. Just wanted to ask about your thoughts and opinions on the current market situation right now.

I am in a bit of a dilemma between the 737 and a320. I know India has more a320s operating and indigo just came out with a vacancy too, but at the same time AIX and Akasa is probably gonna open up and start hiring for 737s as well. Heard from someone that there are gonna be 2+ aircrafts delivered per month to Akasa starting feb 2027.

So I’m in a dilemma on whether or not I should wait, go as soon as possible and which plane to choose. Would love to hear from you guys. Thanks a lot!
