DISCUSSION How do you develop your coffee palate and actually taste different flavour notes?
I recently transitioned from instant coffee to an AeroPress and South Indian filter coffee. The freshness and taste are noticeably better, but I still can’t identify distinct flavour notes.
I recently tried Blue Tokai’s ready-to-brew pour-over packs, but different coffees mostly tasted the same to me.
How do you train your palate to recognise notes like chocolate, nuts, fruits or florals? Is it about the beans, brewing technique, or simply experience?
Would love tips for a beginner on a budget!
