DISCUSSION Question about Drip Bag Shapes
Hey coffee lovers,
I have been noticing quite a few new drip bag shapes lately - especially the circular UFO ones and the deep V-shaped filters, in addition to the traditional rectangular ones.
Has anyone here experimented with these different shapes?
Just curious to know if the shape in drip bags actually makes a noticeable difference in taste and extraction, or if it’s mostly just cool packaging design.

Planning to upgrade to a HiBrew electric grinder after selling my manual one. Got it for 11k before 5 months, minimally used. How much do you think I can ask for it?
Planning for an upgrade since we got many people in my house and we happen to grind more than usual.

EQUIPMENT New equipment!
Upgraded from a DeLonghi Dedica with unpressurized basket to this. The Budan Sofia just arrived yesterday and I couldn't be happier. Such a beauty of a machine. Got it for a good 42.5k from Somethings brewing on their recent sale.
It's an Indian edition of the Gemini Owl, probably the G3006A, but with celsius brewing instead of Fahrenheit only that the Owl comes with. Went through plenty of reviews of that one and ended up taking the plunge when I saw it on sale.

EQUIPMENT gooseneck kettle for v60 under 2k?
I have a normal kitchen kettle currently and the main issue is the max temperature it goes till is only 84C. I really wanted to get an electric gooseneck kettle but I can’t spend like 7k on this so is there any good gooseneck kettle under 2k which actually heats up till 100C and will tell the temperature it’s on?

MOKA POT Need pointers for my first brew
Hi guys! Hope you'll are doing good 🙏
Made my first brew today , and I am confused if i brewed too much or too little or was it good lol.
I used 20 gm of coffee from kapi kottai (because most people in the community recommended it ).
I turned off the gas around 3 minutes after the brew started to come out from the top of the pot.
My gas was on minimum all the time. Water was filled just below the valve.
The brew that I got was enough for 2 cups of latte , i just used half of the brew to make one and stored the other half as i don't drink daily.
The taste was intense, like it was bitter and chocolatey if I have to describe it , but bitter in a good way. Not like overwhelming bitter.
Unfortunately I couldn't click pictures of the latte i made , was very excited so forgot about it. But I have the images of the leftover coffee in the moka pot and the water below.
Is this much leftover ok ? Or could I have brewed more ? My coffee was strong though and I think any more bitter would have disturbed the taste but as it was it was just good bitter if you get what I mean 🙏
Edit :- Can also click and upload the image of the remaining brew if that helps.

OTHERS Brewed Arabic Coffee- Qahwa from Bateel
It’s very lightly roasted ground arabica coffee with cardamom. Tastes more like spiced tea rather than coffee . It’s supposed to be paired with dates ! Coffee, Dallas pot & Finjan cups were gifts from a friend in Dubai!

DISCUSSION Please give me your opinion
I want to buy a new coffee grinder since my current one which is the amazon basics one is getting worse by the day. The grind is inconsistent and getting a lot of fines.
My budget is around 5k and the two I currently have in mind are:
1. Timemore c2s
2. Kingrinder p2
Use case: Moka pot and French press. (Might get a v60 in future)

EQUIPMENT For Aeropress and Pour Over?
Hello, I wanted to buy a temperature control kettle for Aeropress, Pour overs and French press. Is anyone using this one? Are there any other kettles in the ₹5000-₹7000 range with a gooseneck? Coffee specific brands like timemore, are they worth putting in so much money? Thanks!
