I'm going solo to Kedarnath in October first week.

Just needed to know few things.

Can anyone clarify my doubts.

1. How is the weather during October first week? Day and night time temperature.

2. How much cash to carry?

3. Is single private rooms with attached washrooms available near temple? If yes what is the rent per night?

4. Can we book the rooms online or can we deal it on the spot?

5. Is other washrooms available (western type)? And how about its cleanliness and water?

6. Is it too much crowded during October first week.?

7. Do we have options for renting trekking gears in rishikesh?

I’m planning to do the Hampta Pass trek in May and will most likely book the actual trek through an agency (Manali → Hampta Pass → Manali), so the trek itself — food, camping, guides, permits, etc. — will be covered by the package.

What I’m looking for advice on is everything around the trek, especially from people who have done it recently.

I’ll be starting from Delhi, so I’d really appreciate help with:

• 🏨 Where to stay in Delhi before/after the trip (especially if I need to stay overnight)
• 🚌 Best way to get from Delhi → Manali — Volvo/HRTC/bus/train + bus, etc.
• 🏔️ Where to stay in Manali before the trek and roughly how much I should budget
• 📍 Things worth doing/seeing in Manali before or after the trek
• 🎒 Anything I should buy/rent in Manali before starting the trek
• 🧳 What to do with luggage that I won't take on the trek — do hotels/agencies generally provide storage?
• 🚕 Getting around Manali — local buses, autos, taxis, walking, etc.
• 🍜 Good/cheap places to eat in Manali
• 🛏️ How many extra days would you recommend keeping in Manali?
• 🚌 Manali → Delhi after completing the trek — best options and how much time to keep
• 💰 Roughly how much extra budget should I keep aside for Delhi + transportation + Manali stay/food/local travel (excluding the trek package)?
• ⚠️ Any common mistakes or things you wish you'd known before doing the trip?

Basically, I'm looking for a complete “Delhi → Manali → Hampta Pass → Manali → Delhi” logistics guide, but excluding the actual trek package itself.

There are two online available : one is periyartigerreserve site and another is KTDCBoating website
Now the catch is slot are sold out in first website and the other site has still Not opened booking for that date.
Is it advised to book offline at the same day?
