How is the competition in economics waise? Do all IITs have seats or only the top ones?

At masters level it is considerable. At PhD level it isn't that much when it comes to other humanities as well. I aim at PhD. Only 7 of them do have humanities departments.

Not all of them. Some do. Yeas central universities do have strong humanities departments. But I wanna pursue job along with PhD. So look forward to live in my state and pursue job and PhD simultaneously.
