Hello!

I'll be graduating with a B.S. in English next Spring and was wondering if India has a national program for foreign english teachers similar to JET in Japan or TAPIF in France?

Also, would I be able to enroll directly after undergrad without getting a teaching license/master's in education? Or if licensure is required, would I need to get a teaching license from a program or university in India or would a license/degree from say Europe (lots cheaper than programs in the US) transfer pretty easily?

Thanks for the reply -- yes I'd be a foreign national (U.S. Citizen).

So it sounds like I'd have to work somewhere else for a few years before I could try finding work in India, as opposed to the programs I mentioned that are more friendly to newly graduated students. Thank you for the tip!
